About Thomas Hunt

Tom Hunt is a Financial Advisor, CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ and a founding member of The Des Moines Group at Morgan Stanley. He creates customized, comprehensive wealth plans designed to help meet the unique financial goals of each client. He applies his advanced education and knowledge of risk management and retirement income planning to uncover and clarify his clients’ objectives and to help ensure their financial progress is on track.

Originally from Illinois, Tom grew up on a farm in the western part of the state. He attended the University of Illinois, earning a Bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Economics. Tom entered the financial services industry in 2001 after receiving his MBA in Finance from Western Illinois University.

In 2008, Tom and Jim Baker founded the Des Moines Group, applying the principle of putting clients first as the foundation of the practice. Taking the time to truly understand each client’s individual situation is at the heart of The Des Moines Group’s business. Employing a high touch service model, the team works with individuals and families throughout their lives; from their working years, when the focus is accumulation of assets, through retirement, when the focus shifts to distribution of assets.

About Priscilla Dickinson

Priscilla Dickinson contributes to a dynamic group of advisors within Morgan Stanley’s West Des Moines office. She draws experience from being a small business owner, executive assistant, and commercial property manager. Born into the family business, Priscilla operated a mid-sized, customer-centric, women’s boutique. Later, as executive assistant to the owner of a large electrical contracting firm, she also assisted in the executive’s side interest in commercial property management.

About Christy L Wetrich

Christy is an Assistant Vice President, Wealth Management Associate, and *Financial Planning Specialist at Morgan Stanley. With more than 25 years of experience in the investment industry, she has established expertise in client service, practice management, and operational execution.

In her senior leadership role with The Des Moines Group at Morgan Stanley, Christy oversees the team’s Client Service and Business Management functions. Stacey earned her B.S. in Business Management from Iowa State University and joined Morgan Stanley’s predecessor firm in 2007 as a Client Relationship Analyst.

About Dylan Appenzeller

Dylan supports clients with attentive service and a strong focus on accuracy and follow-through. He began his career with Morgan Stanley in Prescott, Arizona as a Client Relationship Analyst, where he built a solid foundation in client service and financial operations. Dylan later returned to Iowa to be closer to family and continues to bring that same client-first approach to every interaction.

Dylan graduated from the University of Iowa in 2020. Outside of work, he enjoys staying active—especially golfing, mountain biking, and a variety of sports-related activities.
