About Tom Hunt

Tom Hunt is a Financial Advisor, CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ and a founding member of The Des Moines Group at Morgan Stanley. He creates customized, comprehensive wealth plans designed to help meet the unique financial goals of each client. He applies his advanced education and knowledge of risk management and retirement income planning to uncover and clarify his clients’ objectives and to help ensure their financial progress is on track.

Originally from Illinois, Tom grew up on a farm in the western part of the state. He attended the University of Illinois, earning a Bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Economics. Tom entered the financial services industry in 2001 after receiving his MBA in Finance from Western Illinois University.

In 2008, Tom and Jim Baker founded the Des Moines Group, applying the principle of putting clients first as the foundation of the practice. Taking the time to truly understand each client’s individual situation is at the heart of The Des Moines Group’s business. Employing a high touch service model, the team works with individuals and families throughout their lives; from their working years, when the focus is accumulation of assets, through retirement, when the focus shifts to distribution of assets.

About James H Baker

Jim Baker is a First Vice President, Financial Advisor, Family Wealth Advisor and a founding member of The Des Moines Group at Morgan Stanley. About Priscilla Dickinson Sayeed

Priscilla contributes to a dynamic group of advisors within Morgan Stanley’s Central Iowa office. She draws experience from being a small business owner, executive assistant, and commercial property manager. Born into the family business, Priscilla operated a mid-sized, customer centric, women’s boutique. Later, as executive assistant to the owner of a large electrical contracting firm, she also assisted in the executive’s side interest of commercial property management.

Her seasoned team within the Morgan Stanley firm boasts a combined 80 plus years of experience delivering traditional investment practices and where appropriate, offering alternative strategies that seek to manage risk and maximize potential gains. She works with independent women and their families to develop a holistic approach to wealth management for each life stage, event, and generation. Expanding financial literacy among women has become a passion.

She attended the University of Kansas earning a bachelor of science. Priscilla spends a lot of her time volunteering and actively engaging in her community. She is a member of PEO Chapter HY and St Timothy’s Episcopal Church Altar Guild, THE Consortium, and The Des Moines Rotary AM. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her family and experiencing the outdoors through kayaking, bicycling, and skiing.

Matt designs and manages client investment portfolios and serves as the chair of The Des Moines Group’s investment committee. About Lisette Villalba Torres

Lisette started her time with Morgan Stanley in May of 2022 as an intern, where she was able to work side by side with the team to learn more about the industry. She was quickly promoted to a Client Service Associate in September 2022. She graduated from Drake University in May of 2024 with a B.A. in Business Administration and B.S. in International Relations and joined the team full time after graduation.

During her time at Morgan Stanley, she has demonstrated to be an integral part of the team due to her diligent customer service skills and adaptability to assist the team no matter the task.

Originally, from Beloit, Wisconsin, Lisette now resides in West Des Moines. She enjoys traveling, spending time with friends and family, and staying active by going hiking and jogging.
