William R. Stamper
Senior Vice President, Wealth Management
Senior Portfolio Manager
Financial Advisor
Bill Stamper is a Senior Vice President, Senior Portfolio Manager, and Financial Advisor at Morgan Stanley. With over 20 years of experience in the financial services industry, Bill focuses on financial planning and wealth management for professionals, retirees, small business owners, and families.
A graduate of Indiana University Bloomington, Bill earned both a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Business Administration in Finance. He began honing his financial skills at an early age. In fact, you might say finance is “in his blood.” His father was also a financial advisor and Bill has vivid memories of buying his own stocks and depositing dividend checks in the bank as a young child. After college, Bill worked on the futures trading floor of the Chicago Mercantile Exchange. He then spent 10 years in retail and commercial banking before joining Morgan Stanley in 2005.
Drawing on his extensive industry experience, Bill helps clients navigate a variety of financial complexities – from designing investment plans to managing liabilities and management taxes. Deeply committed to putting his clients’ needs first, Bill carefully crafts comprehensive financial planning strategies that tailor to their unique objectives and risk tolerance. As a Senior Portfolio Manager, he has extensive experience managing asset allocation, doesn’t believe in a “one-size-fits-all” approach, and understands that building an effective investment strategy starts with being a good listener. With this client-centered approach, Bill helps build, grow, and protect clients’ wealth so that they are free to concentrate on what’s most important to them – their passions, their families, and their goals.
Outside of the office, Bill enjoys staying active and spending time with his wife and two daughters. A dedicated fan at his daughters’ volleyball and soccer events, he also enjoys travel, hunting, fishing, and playing recreational sports himself – namely basketball, golf, and pickleball.
Asset Allocation does not assure a profit or protect against loss in declining financial markets.
