About Andrew Carroll

Andrew B. Carroll graduated from the University of Miami in 1958, moved to Ft Lauderdale and began his career as an Investment Executive with Goodbody & Co, Inc.  Soon after Andy became a Partner with Reynolds & Company, later becoming a senior officer of Dean Witter Reynolds a predecessor firm of Morgan Stanley.

He has held multiple management positions including the Florida Regional Director for Dean Witter Reynolds. Andy later joined Shearson American Express which became Smith Barney and eventually Citigroup Smith Barney.

In 2007 Andy, and his partner James Carroll, joined Morgan Stanley prior to the 2009 merger of Morgan Stanley and Smith Barney.

Andy’s clients include High Net Worth Individuals, Corporate Pension Plans and local Foundations. Over the years Andy has been involved with and consulted to many local charity organizations, municipal pensions and college/university foundations.

Andy’s personal and professional affiliations have included a member of the Florida regional Brokerage Arbitration Panel for FINRA, formerly the NASD, Investment Management Consultants Association, Florida Securities Dealers Board of Governors, Nominating Committee for the NASD, Southern Securities Industry Association, Co-Founder of the Stock and Bond Club of Ft Lauderdale and a member of the Economic Society of South Florida.

Andy is a former Stranahan House board member and is presently a member of The University of Miami’s Citizens Board. Andy and his wife Nancy have three children and six grandchildren. They enjoy tennis, boating, extensive travel, reading and family gatherings.

About James Carroll

As a Senior Vice President and Wealth Advisor, James G. Carroll joined Morgan Stanley in 1991 through Smith Barney. Jim is also a Senior Investment Management Consultant and holds a CRPS® designation from the College of Financial Planning. Jim has worked with his father and Financial Advisor, Andy, since 1992 after obtaining his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Alabama and starting his career at Cigna Financial Services. The Carroll Groups clients include High Net Worth Individuals, Corporate Retirement Plans and Foundations, consulting to over a $1 Billion of client assets. As a Fort Lauderdale native, Jim has been active in numerous community functions over the years. He is currently the President of the Broward County Alabama Alumni Chapter and serves on the Fort Lauderdale Debutante Presentation Committee with his wife, Heather. Jim and Heather enjoy boating, college football and summer travel together with their two adult children. When not in Ft. Lauderdale, you can likely find Jim in his favorite place, Hilton Head Island. Jim also supports the Sigma Chi Foundation, Delta Gamma foundation, Charity Guild of Fort Lauderdale, Saint Mark’s Episcopal School & Cardinal Gibbons High School among other local & national interests.

About Kaitlyn Coyne

Kaitlyn Coyne joined our team in 2023. She was born and raised in South Florida. She graduated from the University of Florida with a Bachelor of Science in Business Management and a Master’s in International Business. Kaitlyn is a Registered Associate and currently holds the FINRA Series 7, 63, & 65 securities licenses.

Kaitlyn provides excellent client service for the Carroll Group. Kaitlyn is responsible for assisting with daily administrative operations and delivering a well-rounded client experience. Prior to joining Morgan Stanley, Kaitlyn worked at Charles Schwab and JP Morgan Private Bank. Kaitlyn enjoys traveling, playing tennis, days at the beach, and spending time with friends and family.

About Leticia Teixeira

Leticia Teixeira, CFP®, CEPA® is a Vice President and Financial Planning Director serving Morgan Stanley’s Wealth Management offices in Southeast Florida. She is responsible for helping Financial Advisors with their clients' and prospects' financial planning needs.

Leticia began her career in financial services in 2011 and joined Morgan Stanley in 2020. Prior to her current position, she worked at multiple Financial Services firms in Florida including RBC, Itaú and UBS.

Leticia graduated from Florida International University with a B.A. in Psychology and obtained an MBA in Organizational Management from Carlos Albizu University. She holds her Certified Financial Planner® and Certified Exit Planning Advisor® designations.

Outside of work, Leticia enjoys practicing her photography skills, family trips and volunteering at school activities. Leticia is originally from Sao Paulo, Brazil and she is fluent in English and Portuguese, and conversational in Spanish. She currently lives in Broward, FL with her husband and 2 children.

About John Fanning

John Fanning is a Private Banker serving Morgan Stanley Wealth Management offices in Florida.

Private Bankers partner with Financial Advisors to develop a specialized approach for managing clients’ cash flow, liquidity and financing needs, leveraging our comprehensive suite of cash management and lending solutions.

John began his career in financial services in 1992, and joined Morgan Stanley in 2010 as a Financial Advisor. Prior to joining the firm, he was a Commercial Banker at SunTrust Bank (now Truist Bank) and Bank United. He also also served as a Finance Manager at Merrill Lynch Business Financial Services.

John is a graduate of Florida Atlantic University, where he received a Bachelor of Science in Finance. He lives in Fort Lauderdale, Florida with his family. Outside of the office, John enjoys coaching and watching his sons excel in sports, spending time with family and friends, and cheering on all South Florida sports team.

About Mark Jansen

Mark Jansen is a Family Office Resources Generalist for Morgan Stanley’s Family Office Resources, covering the Southeast Region. In this capacity, Mark provides specialized expertise to Financial Advisors and their UHNW clients across a broad range of family wealth management issues including; family governance and wealth education, strategic estate and financial planning, philanthropy management and lifestyle advisory. Mark has over 30 years of experience advising wealthy families, business owners, and their children.

Most recently, Mark worked with New York Life in their Advanced Planning Group working with agents and their UHNW clients advising them on estate and legacy planning, business buy sell planning, and succession planning. Prior to New York Life, Mark held similar Advanced Planning Consulting roles in several National financial organizations. He originally started his career in the financial services industry in the tax department of the public accounting firm Grant Thornton. He is known for taking complex ideas and making them easy to understand. Frequently speaking to groups and individuals on estate and business planning, he brings a conversational style that helps to clarify the complex nature of these topics.

Mark received a Bachelor of Science degree from St. John’s University in Collegeville MN, received his JD degree Cum Laude from the University of Minnesota and his CPA license while working at Grant Thornton. He holds a Series 7, 24 and 63 securities licenses. He currently lives in Richmond Virginia with his wife and occasionally one of their 6 children.
