About Andrew Carroll
Andrew B. Carroll graduated from the University of Miami in 1958, moved to Ft Lauderdale and began his career as an Investment Executive with Goodbody & Co, Inc. Soon after Andy became a Partner with Reynolds & Company, later becoming a senior officer of Dean Witter Reynolds a predecessor firm of Morgan Stanley.
He has held multiple management positions including the Florida Regional Director for Dean Witter Reynolds. Andy later joined Shearson American Express which became Smith Barney and eventually Citigroup Smith Barney.
In 2007 Andy, and his partner James Carroll, joined Morgan Stanley prior to the 2009 merger of Morgan Stanley and Smith Barney.
Andy’s clients include High Net Worth Individuals, Corporate Pension Plans and local Foundations. Over the years Andy has been involved with and consulted to many local charity organizations, municipal pensions and college/university foundations.
Andy’s personal and professional affiliations have included a member of the Florida regional Brokerage Arbitration Panel for FINRA, formerly the NASD, Investment Management Consultants Association, Florida Securities Dealers Board of Governors, Nominating Committee for the NASD, Southern Securities Industry Association, Co-Founder of the Stock and Bond Club of Ft Lauderdale and a member of the Economic Society of South Florida.
Andy is a former Stranahan House board member and is presently a member of The University of Miami’s Citizens Board. Andy and his wife Nancy have three children and six grandchildren. They enjoy tennis, boating, extensive travel, reading and family gatherings.
