Our Process

Our clients look to us for advice that includes their investments but goes far beyond to encompass business planning, investment management, lending strategies and other dimensions of their financial lives. That is why we employ a comprehensive financial planning approach that consists of the following steps:
    Icon Image
    Step 1: Initial Call
An Initial Call in which we’ll discuss what you hope to get from a relationship with us. We’ll ask you about your previous experiences with Financial Advisors or on your own. And we’ll discuss what you perceive to be your major objectives and potential obstacles to achieving them.
    Icon Image
    Step 2: Discovery Meeting
A Discovery Meeting in which we will take inventory of your finances and what you want your wealth to accomplish. We’ll identify your goals, attempt to quantify their cost, and determine whether you have the resources to achieve them within your required timeframe.
    Icon Image
    Step 3: Plan Presentation
A Plan Presentation Meeting in which we’ll present your financial plan and the strategies it suggests for filling any gaps between your goals and resources. Your plan will contain an asset allocation based on the size of those gaps and your risk tolerance.
    Icon Image
    Step 4: Plan Implementation
Plan Implementation that involves bringing your plan to life. This may entail additional consultation with Morgan Stanley professionals who focus on business planning, lending strategies and other disciplines relevant to your situation. It will also involve the development of a personalized investment strategy.
    Icon Image
    Step 5: Ongoing Evaluation
Ongoing Evaluation to help us determine whether you are proceeding toward your financial destination as anticipated. We monitor your performance on an ongoing basis and may alter our strategies to accommodate changing circumstances in your life or trends in the financial markets.
    Icon Image
    Step 6: Next Steps
If this sounds like what you need to help gain confidence in your financial life and you’re ready to explore what that could look like, let’s schedule a time for a 30-minute connection conversation.

Comprehensive Financial Planning

We like to lead with planning. Committing to the process of creating a plan takes your vision and turns it into a tangible working document that can be adapted to the changes life will bring. It can also take your ideas and wishes and see how they will impact the success of you reaching your goals. It is common for us to create scenarios for clients that deal with lots of different aspects of life (Long term Care, caring for parents, medical or health expenses, buying a vacation home, travel). It is important to remember that you cannot create a plan and then ignore it. It serves as our check point to make sure we are on the right path. Preparing a plan allows us to calculate the potential return needed to align with your goals.

The initial creation does take commitment from you to gather all the relevant information and spend time with me to understand your goals. After the initial creation the adjustments as time goes on are much easier and less time consuming to manage.

About Samantha Ediger

I am passionate about working as a Financial Advisor because of the difference I can make in the lives of my clients, their families and others they care about. My goal is to give clients the time they need to focus on their business and passions in life while feeling confident they are on track to achieve their personal and financial goals. My clients appreciate my consultative approach and easy to understand explanations when assisting them in managing life changes and navigating the uncertainty of the markets.

I started working with clients in 1992 spending 16 years at Merrill Lynch and 11 years at Wells Fargo before joining Morgan Stanley. I earned my degree from the University of Colorado and continued my education thru the College of Financial Planning earning the Certified Financial Planner (CFP ®) designation which requires I work with my clients to put their interests above all.

In my spare time, I enjoy traveling, scrapbooking, boating, our Australian Shepard and car shows with my family.
