Meet The Barlow Group

About Todd Barlow

Todd began his career as a financial advisor in 1986, and he has been with Morgan Stanley since 2001. During his almost 39 –year career in the industry, Todd has held various roles including: Branch Manager, National Sales Manager, Syndicate Manager, and positions within Public and Corporate Finance.

Todd collaborates with team members David and Grace Barlow, and other firm professionals to help ensure assets entrusted to The Barlow Group at Morgan Stanley are positioned to meet client demands and financial goals; as well as the challenges of today’s investment markets.

As families grow and their wealth increases, Todd and The Barlow Group at Morgan Stanley realize each family, each family business, and each individual client we advise has their own unique goals. To address the unique needs of each client, we have face-to-face meetings and provide high-quality concierge wealth management services to those we serve. Discussions with clients often cover a wide range of topics, including trust and estate planning strategies, business succession planning, reviewing buy/sell agreements, attracting and retaining key employees, philanthropy management, lifestyle management, family governance, legacy planning, liability management, and insurance solutions. With that in mind, Todd is also responsible for coordinating our efforts to include our client’s attorneys and their tax professionals in the planning process. Our goal is to make sure our client’s financial and legal worlds are aligned and working toward their future goals.

Todd holds a Bachelor’s degree from Illinois Wesleyan University. He and his wife Sandi live in Bloomington, IL.. In addition to David and Grace, Todd and Sandi have one other grown child.

About Grace Barlow

Grace Barlow is a highly accomplished professional with a diverse range of skills and interests. Grace attended Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas. While at SMU, she earned a Bachelor of Arts in History and Religious Studies. After graduation, Grace continued her education at Washington University in St. Louis where she earned her Master of Arts in Teaching in Social Science.

Grace’s passion for education and teaching initially led her to a career in academia. She taught at Mary Institute and St. Louis Country Day School and Whitfield School. She was known for her dedication and connection to her students as well as her ability to make her subject matter relevant.

After nearly a decade in education, Grace transitioned her career to join The Barlow Group at Morgan Stanley as a financial advisor. Her ability to connect with people and her passion for helping others achieve their goals inspire her as a financial advisor. The Barlow Group’s family approach is what encouraged
Grace’s decision to shift her career path. Grace firmly believes through her collaboration with Todd and David Barlow and other Morgan Stanley professionals that current and future clients of The Barlow Group will be well positioned to meet their goals and the challenges of today’s markets.

Sheryl began her career at Morgan Stanley in 2004 as an Operations Associate. In 2006 she was promoted to a Senior Client Service Associate.

Sheryl is the administrative and operational support backbone for The Barlow Group at Morgan Stanley. She truly cares about you, our client, and works hard to help you simplify and manage every aspect of your financial life. Whether scheduling portfolio review meetings, transferring funds electronically for the purchase of a new home, paying tuition costs for a child or grandchild, or helping you register for Morgan Stanley Online, Sheryl strives to provide every client we serve with first class customer care.

Sheryl and her husband Dan live in East Peoria. They are the proud parents of two grown children, and four grandchildren.

In their spare time in the summer months, she and Dan enjoy going to antique car shows, exploring the country back-roads of Illinois, hiking, painting scenes from her explorations, and gardening. In the winter months, Sheryl frequently visits Iowa and Grafton, Illinois to unite her passion of photography with her joy of eagle watching.

About Kimberly Guidone

Kimberly is a Private Banker serving Morgan Stanley Wealth Management offices in Indiana.

Private Bankers partner with Financial Advisors to develop a specialized approach for managing clients’ cash flow, liquidity and financing needs, leveraging our comprehensive suite of cash management and lending solutions.

Kimberly began her career in financial services in 1996 and joined Morgan Stanley in 2016. Prior to joining the firm, she was a Wealth Management Banker at Merrill Lynch. She also served as an Investment Relationship Manager with Key Investment Services and a Financial Advisor at Thrivent Financial.

Kimberly is a graduate of Wright State University where she received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology. Outside of the office, Kimberly spends time with her family enjoying hiking, camping, and other outdoor activities.

About Lynn King

Lynn R. King is a Family Office Resource Generalist for the Mid-America region. She has over 15 years of experience working with families, family offices, and their attorneys, CPAs and financial advisors on issues unique to the UHNW client. Lynn started her career as an attorney in Illinois working with closely held businesses across the country on a broad range of topics, including entity structuring, estate planning, business succession and tax. She then joined New York Life Insurance as a Corporate Vice President in their Advanced Planning Group. In this role she expanded on her experience from private practice and engaged with clients on complex business and personal planning needs.
Lynn joined Morgan Stanley in September of 2020. As the Family Office Resource Generalist, Lynn provides advice and strategies to UHNW families. To that end, she assists families with the creation of family mission statements. She also educates adults and children on how to be good stewards of generational wealth. She engages with resources in philanthropy, wealth and estate planning and trust management to ensure the UHNW clients of the Firm are able to accomplish their goals.
Lynn received her undergraduate degree in Finance and Political Science from the University of Illinois- Urbana-Champaign. She attended The John Marshall Law School in Chicago, Illinois where she obtained her Juris Doctorate (J.D.) and is licensed to practice law in Illinois. She also holds her Series 7 and 66.

About Kimberly Nute Jones

Kimberly is a Vice President and Financial Planning Director serving Morgan Stanley’s Private Wealth Management offices in Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Minnesota and Pennsylvania. She is responsible for helping Financial Advisors with their clients' and prospects' financial planning needs.

Kimberly began her career in financial services in 1991 and joined Morgan Stanley in 2012. Prior to her current role, Kimberly was a Senior Executive Financial Planner at Goldman Sachs Ayco in Deerfield, Illinois and an Associate Vice President and Financial Advisor in Morgan Stanley’s Oak Brook Illinois complex. Kimberly currently serves on Morgan Stanley’s Great Lakes Region Diversity Council and is a member of several firm-led affinity groups. She is an active member of Women Investment Professionals (WIP), and the Association of African American Financial Advisors (Quad A).

Kimberly currently serves on the Museum of Science and Industry’s Black Creativity Advisory Council, sit on various national and local committees for the National Coalition of 100 Black Women, and plans events for Go Fish NFP, a nonprofit organization started by her children.

Kimberly earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Financial Counseling and Planning from Purdue University, West Lafayette, Indiana, Master's degree in Education with distinction from Saint Xavier University in Chicago, and Certified Financial Planning certificate program from Northwestern University School of Professional Studies, Evanston, Illinois. She currently holds her Certified Financial Planner® designation. Kimberly lives in Flossmoor, Illinois with her husband, two children and their dog. In her spare time, Kimberly enjoys doing genealogical research and traveling with her family and friends.
