About Us

To Elisabeth Andreason, the best financial plan reflects your life — your values and dreams. That’s why she takes the time to really get to know her clients. Meetings take as long as necessary to define your goals, identify opportunities and choose solutions that make sense to you. Plans include innovative solutions to problems that clients often did not even know existed. Solutions then evolve with the clients’ changing circumstances.

Elisabeth’s strength is guiding the implementation of uniquely crafted financial plans that include input and collaboration from the client’s attorney and CPA. When asked, her clients have said they have never before experienced such a coordinated effort to address their personal financial needs.

With a team of support staff striving to transcend client service expectations, Elisabeth is available to provide her clients with undivided attention during meetings. “Teaching is the foundation of my client relationships. I want to make sure my clients know what we are doing together and why.” Clients choose to work with Elisabeth for her vast knowledge, educational style, diligent attention to detail and collaborative approach, which leave them feeling heard and understood.

For more than 20 years, Elisabeth Andreason has been helping clients with their wealth management needs. Elisabeth holds a BA from Wellesley College in English, Education and Psychology, Master of Science in Financial Services, as well as the designation Certified Financial Planner™ practitioner which demonstrates her knowledge in developing specific strategies seeking to minimize taxes, preserve assets, maximize growth, and transfer wealth.

Meet The Andreason Group

About Elisabeth Andreason

Elisabeth is the principal of The Andreason Group at Morgan Stanley. Elisabeth enjoys educating clients and clarifies complicated issues to help clients make informed decisions in order to reach their retirement goals. She often asks questions clients did not know they were supposed to ask and solves problems they did not know they had.

One specific area of expertise encompasses assisting Chevron employees to prepare for retirement by strategically extracting company stock from their retirement plan and utilizing a strategy called NUA or "Net Unrealized Appreciation" to significantly reduce their tax burden in retirement.

Another area of focus includes serving widows and families that want help coordinating with their other professional advisors (attorneys and CPAs) to navigate the complexities of estate transfer after the loss of a loved one and ensuring a stable source of income from their inheritance.

Comprehensive financial planning requires looking at both sides of the balance sheet, the assets owned as well as the outstanding loans. Employing the right kinds of insurance products to protect against personal and professional liability, loss, disability, dying too early and living too long are all components to a comprehensive plan. Ensuring that assets are titled properly and beneficiary designations have been made properly is just as important as what might or might not be written in a Trust or Will. Elisabeth has been educating clients at Morgan Stanley and empowering them to make the right decisions to accumulate, grow and transfer wealth since 2002.

15Investors should consider many factors before deciding which 529 plan is appropriate. Some of these factors include: the Plan’s investment options and the historical investment performance of these options, the Plan’s flexibility and features, the reputation and expertise of the Plan’s investment manager, Plan contribution limits and the federal and state tax benefits associated with an investment in the Plan. Some states, for example, offer favorable tax treatment and other benefits to their residents only if they invest in the state’s own Qualified Tuition Program. Investors should determine their home state’s tax treatment of 529 plans when considering whether to choose an in-state or out-of-state plan. Investors should consult with their tax or legal advisor before investing in any 529 Plan or contact their state tax division for more information. Morgan Stanley Smith Barney LLC does not provide tax and/or legal advice. Investors should review a Program Disclosure Statement, which contains more information on investment options, risk factors, fees and expenses and possible tax consequences.
