The Alteri Group at Morgan Stanley began in 2015 with father and son Michael and Julian Alteri. Prior to that, Michael began his career in 1987 with Tucker Anthony and built his practice on the core values of family, integrity, and hard work. In the early days of the practice Michael focused on providing brokerage services to the north country all while raising three children. It was no surprise to Michael that his son, Julian, went on to study business and finance at Utica College. After spending a decade in the banking industry and with Michael’s practice growing substantially, it made sense to form a father and son partnership in 2015, leveraging old school grit with new world ideas. As the industry evolved and the need for wholistic wealth management started to take precedence over standard brokerage services, the practice was innovative and continued to grow. Michael retired in December 2022 after over thirty-five years of service to his clients and community, and in 2023 our team began the next transition and relocated Drew Parisian from the Rochester area back to his hometown. Having complimentary backgrounds in finance and wealth management, Julian and Drew work as a team to give you two local advisors that oversee your financial picture. While the financial services industry has vastly changed over the years, one thing remains constant, our core values of family, integrity, and hard work. Our team works with families, individuals, non-profits, and business owners to implement in-depth financial plans and develop portfolios that align with our client’s goals. In addition to the advisors, our dedicated colleague, Linda Hagemann, has over 20 years of experience in the financial services industry and drives our white-glove level of service.

Meet The Alteri Group

About Julian Alteri

Julian is the current Resident Manager of the Morgan Stanley office in Watertown, NY. Prior to joining Morgan Stanley as a Financial Advisor in 2015, Julian Alteri spent nearly a decade in the banking industry. His most recent role was with Wilmington Trust as a Private Banker where he provided customized lending and deposit products to high-net-worth individuals and their families, while also working hand-in-hand with the firm’s Wealth Advisory group. Prior to Wilmington Trust, he spent seven years at HSBC Bank USA, N.A. in Commercial Lending working primarily with Middle Market businesses in all types of industries.

Julian received his Bachelor of Science from Utica College where he majored in Business Management with a minor in Finance. Some of his fondest memories were meeting his wife Julia and playing Men’s Varsity Lacrosse and Soccer which led to lifelong friendships. Other activities included tutoring fellow college students and being involved with the Young Scholars program that partnered with the Utica City School District to help high school students maximize their potential.

Julian’s prior community involvement includes Treasurer of The Italian American Civic Association, Education Council Member of Immaculate Heart Central School, and a member of the Knights of Columbus. As a father of twin girls and at times responsible for prepping their hair, he previously organized Daddy Daughter Hair Factory classes in partnership with the Jefferson-Lewis BOCES cosmetology program. He has also participated in the Real men Wear Pink campaign for Making Strides Against Breast Cancer of the North Country and the Jefferson Leadership Institute class of 2016.

Julian is proud to work for Morgan Stanley in his hometown and lives in his childhood home with his wife Julia and their three greatest assets, twin daughters Giana and Natalia and a son Christian. His true passions are spending time with family and friends and helping others in any capacity.

About Andrew Parisian, CFP®

Drew Parisian joined Morgan Stanley as a Financial Advisor in 2023 and is responsible for leading the Financial Planning practice for The Alteri Group, assisting in portfolio management, and working directly with clients to help accomplish their financial goals. Drew has a steadfast, disciplined approach to assist clients with defining goals and implementing creative solutions. Upon graduating from SUNY Brockport in 2016 he started his career in wealth management as a paraplanner in Rochester, NY. During this time, he was also completing his MBA in Financial Planning and graduated with distinguished marks from Niagara University. Drew then joined Canandaigua National Bank and Trust’s Wealth Management Group where he earned the designation of CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNING Professional™ in 2019 and held roles such as Trust Associate, Research Analyst and was most recently an Assistant Vice President, Wealth Advisor. In this role Drew managed portfolios and developed comprehensive financial plans for families with generational wealth and high-net-worth individuals. He also served on the investment committee where the team oversaw the management of billions in assets and contributed to the management of a US focused large cap core portfolio. He has also served as the Treasurer for the Financial Planning Association of Greater Rochester, was a member of the Estate Planning Council of Rochester, has given guest lectures for universities on the subject of financial planning and investment management and currently is a member of the Pope and Young Club as well as the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation.

Drew is extremely honored to have the opportunity to return to his hometown and partner with a local team that has an extensive track record of providing sound, trustworthy financial guidance to its community. Outside of the office you can find Drew keeping busy outdoors, golfing, or playing hockey. He and his wife, Bri, reside in Dexter, NY with their Golden Doodle, Opie.

About Elizabeth Menteur

Elizabeth Menteur is a Private Banker serving Morgan Stanley Wealth Management offices in New York.

Private Bankers partner with Financial Advisors to develop a specialized approach for managing clients’ cash flow, liquidity and financing needs, leveraging our comprehensive suite of cash management and lending solutions.

Elizabeth began her career in financial services in 2013, and joined Morgan Stanley in 2017 as a Regional Client Engagement Associate. Elizabeth is a graduate of Northeastern University, where she received a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in Finance and International Affairs and a Master of Business Administration
with a concentration in Finance. She lives in Saratoga Springs, New York.

Outside of the office, she volunteers with Invest in Girls and is a mentor and financial education coach for high school students. Elizabeth enjoys
traveling, painting and gluten free baking.
