About Gilles Barretieri

A Financial Advisor with the Wealth Management division of Morgan Stanley Gilles has been named to the Forbes list of "Americas Top Next Generation Wealth Advisors" in 2018 and 2019. In addition, he is a Senior Portfolio Manager, who has vast subject matter knowledge in delivering services to, among others, entertainers, entrepreneurs and board members of private and public companies.

Gilles began his career as an institutional trader at Merrill Lynch, Credit Suisse First Boston and UBS in London and Paris. He then spent the next 6 years engineering structured products for KBL and Goldman Sachs. He started his private wealth management career at Merrill Lynch in 2012 before being recruited to Morgan Stanley in 2019.

Gilles brings his institutional investment experience to his wealth management practice to deliver a proactive approach to asset management for his clients. He works extremely closely with his client’s CPAs, attorneys, and business managers, to make sure his plan fits best within the clients overall framework. His thought process is the more collaboration and communication with one another regarding the client’s situation, means the better the clients’ interests are served.

Gilles graduated with his Masters in Finance from Paris IX Dauphine University. He currently resides in Los Angeles.

About Jed Archer Cohen

Jed A. Cohen is a Financial Advisor and founding member of The Accent Group at Morgan Stanley. As a Director of Morgan Stanley’s Global Sports and Entertainment Group, he works closely with top professionals in the Entertainment industry. Prior to joining Morgan Stanley in 2006, Jed held a number of successful careers in the entertainment and manufacturing industries. He was an award winning writer and producer in the entertainment industry, working for such prominent studios as Nickelodeon, Disney and the Jim Henson Company. He was also a successful business owner, brokering oil and mining equipment to the Soviet Union and South America. An avid traveler, Jed has lived in Asia, Europe and South America, giving him the opportunity to enjoy many rich cultures around the world.

Jed became a Financial Advisor for the opportunity to help others gain the confidence needed to make sound financial decisions. His diverse set of life experiences provides him with a wide array of skills and knowledge to educate and guide his clients in achieving their personal and professional financial goals. Jed prides himself on serving as a catalyst for many of his clients, bringing them together to share ideas and add value to their lives professionally and socially.

Born in Rhode Island, Jed grew up in Cincinnati. He studied literature at the University of Michigan and over the years has published many of his poems and short stories. Phong graduated from UCLA with a major in Economics and a minor in Philosophy in 2004. He started his career at ING Direct as a sales associate and eventually moved on to Ameriprise Financial Advisors as a financial planning associate and obtained his series 7 and 66 in 2005. Phong then joined Comerica Securities in 2007 and eventually found a home at Morgan Stanley in 2010.

When Phong is not looking for new investment opportunities, researching stocks and following the economic trends, he enjoys tennis, hiking, and spending time with his wife and two girls in Glendora, California. Nina has over 10 years of experience in the financial industry. She started her career at JP Morgan Chase in 2007, transitioned to Merrill Lynch in 2016 and was recruited by Morgan Stanley Wealth Management in 2019. She currently holds her Series 6, 63, 66 and 7 securities licenses.

Nina is bilingual, fluent in English and Vietnamese. She is originally from Fountain Valley, CA and has a BA in business finance at California State University of Fullerton. On her free time, she enjoys going on hikes and camping trips to explore national parks with her two canines Kevin and Charlie. An avid traveler of international waters, she has visited over 15 countries thus far, and plans to keep adding to that list.

About Adriana Luna

Adriana graduated from University of California, Los Angeles with bachelor’s degree of arts in Sociology and a minor in Gender Studies. She began her career at Citibank in 2015 and then joined Merrill Lynch in 2019 where she obtained her Series 7 and 66 securities licenses. She is bilingual, fluent in English and Spanish.

In her free time, Adriana enjoys long walks on the beach, traveling and exploring new hiking trails. When she’s not exploring nature, Adriana enjoys spending time with family.

About Cosmin Serban

Cosmin Serban is a Private Banker serving Morgan Stanley Wealth Management offices in California.

Private Bankers partner with Financial Advisors to develop a specialized approach for managing clients’ cash flow, liquidity and financing needs, leveraging our comprehensive suite of cash management and lending solutions.

Cosmin began his career in financial services in 2004, and joined Morgan Stanley in 2014. Prior to joining the firm, he was a Private Banker at Wells Fargo Bank. He also served as a Financial Services Representative at Opus Bank/Fullerton Community Bank.

Cosmin is a graduate of the University of Houston - Downtown, where he received a Masters Degree of Business Administration in International Business. He lives in Rancho Palos Verdes, CA. Outside of the office, Cosmin enjoys playing soccer and traveling.

Molly Sakahara is an Assistant Vice President and Financial Planning Director serving Morgan Stanley’s Wealth Management offices in the Los Angeles area. She is responsible for helping Financial Advisors with their clients' and prospects' financial planning needs.

Molly began her career in financial services in 1999 and joined Morgan Stanley in 2015. Prior to her current position, she held positions in wealth management and private banking with an emphasis on helping individuals achieve long term life goals and understanding client’s value system in relation to their wealth.

Molly graduated from UCLA and holds her Certified Financial Planner® designation, California insurance state licensing, and Series 7 and 65. She currently resides in South Pasadena, California with her spouse and two children. Outside of work, she is a squash coach at PlayLA, a committee volunteer with UCLA Chancellor’s Society, is the founder and administrator of Buy Nothing Group for her local city, and serves on the Board of Directors for SoCal Squash Association.

About Sean Lavin

Sean is a Regional Trust Specialist for Morgan Stanley based in Los Angeles. He is responsible for supporting Private Wealth Advisors and their clients’ legal counsel in developing trust and fiduciary solutions for families, institutions and charities. Sean works closely with clients and their legal and strategic advisors to help educate them on appropriate trust vehicles designed to meet the clients’ specific goals and objectives. Sean also provides advice on how to utilize the fiduciary services available through the Morgan Stanley’s comprehensive third party trustee platform that is available to clients.

Sean joined Morgan Stanley in 1999 including several years as a Senior Vice President and Regional Trust Specialist with Smith Barney and Citi Trust. Prior to then, Sean was a Senior Trust Officer with Merrill Lynch / Bank of America.

Sean graduated from the University of Southern California with a bachelor’s degree in business administration and received his master’s degree in business administration from the UCLA Anderson School of Management. About Elizabeth Chand

Elizabeth Chand leads the Family Office Resource Generalist team and also covers the Central Region. As a FOR Generalist Elizabeth provides specialized expertise to Financial Advisors and their UHNW clients, educating and advising across a broad spectrum of family wealth management concerns, including family legacy and governance, customized wealth education for the next generation, lifestyle advisory and concierge services, strategic estate and financial planning, and philanthropy management.

Most recently, Elizabeth worked with New York Life in their Advanced Planning Group. She worked with agents and their UHNW clients to advise them on issues of estate and legacy planning as well as business succession planning. Prior to New York Life she ran a boutique estate planning law firm in Southern California working with high net worth families and businesses. Her practice focused exclusively on trusts and estates, probate, trust administration and tax. She has over 15 years of experience as an attorney representing individuals and business clients in connection with the development and implementation of sophisticated estate planning strategies and techniques.

Elizabeth holds a Bachelor of Arts and Master of Science degrees from the University of Pennsylvania and her J.D. degree from Chapman University School of Law where she graduated Cum Laude. Elizabeth also holds her Series 7, 66 and 24 securities licenses. Elizabeth lives in the Dallas, TX area with her husband, four daughters and dog Zoe.
