About Steven Flagg

Steve launched his career in 1981 with PaineWebber. After working as an options trader, he joined the firm’s research department as a liaison between equity analysts and financial advisors while earning his MBA in Finance and Marketing from Pace University. In 1987, Steve became a financial advisor in PaineWebber’s Stamford, CT branch. He later worked for Merrill Lynch’s Wealth Management division in 2002 and served his clients as a Senior Vice President.

Steve joined Morgan Stanley in 2022 as Senior Vice President and Financial Advisor in order to deepen his commitment to his clients and provide first class service in a first-class way. In 2026, he was named Executive Director.

Indicative of his commitment to serve his clients as a life-long learner, Steve has earned the following professional designations: Certified Financial Planner™(CFP™), Certified Private Wealth Advisor® (CPWA®), Certified Investment Management Analyst® (CIMA®) and Certified Divorce Financial Analyst® (CDFA®). About Joseph J Matthews

Joe assists investors with creating investment processes consistent with risk tolerance, time horizon and liquidity needs. As a Senior Institutional Consultant, Joe addresses the needs of institutional investors including non-profit organizations, foundations and government entities. In addition to these responsibilities, Joe serves as the Branch Manager of the Fairfield, CT office and has been recognized by On Wall Street magazine as a Top 100 Branch Manager in 2016, 2017 and 2018.

Joe graduated from Fairfield University with a B.S. in Accounting and an M.A. in Organizational Communication. He has earned both the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) and Certified Financial Planner™ (CFP®) professional designations and currently is an adjunct professor at Fairfield University teaching courses in Economics. Previously, he taught Finance and Economics classes at New York University and Pace University. The experience and skills gained from over 20 years of teaching at the university level help him with educating his clients about investment strategies, asset allocation, capital markets and the importance of using definable and repeatable methods of portfolio management. In conjunction with his responsibilities and professional designations, he is a member of CFA Society New York, CFA Society Stamford (CT), CFA Society Ireland, the Association of Professional Investment Consultants (APIC), the Government Finance Officers Association of Connecticut (GFOA-CT) and the American Economic Association (AEA).

Joe has written a bi-monthly business column for seven Connecticut newspapers that appeared in print as well as online. He actively supports the Red Cross and has been involved with numerous charitable organizations over the years. He currently serves as the Chairman Emeritus of the Board of the Stratford (CT) Visiting Nurses Association, as a Trustee for Foundations in Education, is a reader at his local parish and reads to grammar school children in public schools in Bridgeport, CT with the School Volunteer Association.

Joe and his wife Deborah have three grown children and four grandchildren.

About Lindsay Pereguda

Lindsay Pereguda is a Vice President and Wealth Management Associate at Morgan Stanley in Fairfield, CT.

She began her financial services career at Alliance Bernstein in 2008 advancing to the role of Senior Registered Client Associate in support of an advisory team. In 2013, she joined Douglas Elliman Real Estate as an Operations Manager to assist high net worth families navigate New York City real estate transactions. Upon reentering the wealth management industry, she has held the position of Senior Registered Client Service Associate at Wells Fargo and Janney Montgomery Scott. Lindsay joined Morgan Stanley in 2018.

With over 17 years of experience in client service and operations, Lindsay works closely with high net-worth clients, non-profits and government entities providing services that include onboarding, account maintenance and the utilization of Morgan Stanley’s technology to create a seamless client experience. Her role also involves assisting clients with their financial planning needs.

Lindsay received her B.A. in Economics from Fordham University in 2008. She holds her Series 7, Series 63, Series 66 securities registrations as well as insurance licenses. Lindsay and her husband Tom have two sons, Andrew and Julian.

About Marianne Murphy

Marianne Murphy is a Private Banker serving Morgan Stanley Wealth Management offices in New York and Connecticut.

Private Bankers partner with Financial Advisors to develop a specialized approach for managing clients’ cash flow, liquidity and financing needs, leveraging our comprehensive suite of cash management and lending solutions.

Marianne began her career in financial services in 2015 and joined Morgan Stanley in 2018 as an Associate Private Banker in Midtown Manhattan. Prior to joining the firm, she was a Commercial Credit Underwriting Officer at BNB Bank.

Marianne is a graduate of the Saint Francis College, where she received a Bachelor of Science in Economics and Finance. She lives in South Norwalk, Connecticut with her husband. Outside of the office, Marianne enjoys kayaking and is always catching the latest released movies or Yankees game.

Mary Gelfand is a vice president and financial planning director, serving Morgan Stanley’s Wealth Management offices in Westchester County, NY and Fairfield County, CT. She is responsible for helping financial advisors with their clients’ and prospects’ financial planning needs.

Mary began her career in financial services in 2003 and joined Morgan Stanley in 2024. Prior to her current position, she worked for Fidelity Investments, Smith Barney, and Ameriprise.

Mary graduated from the University of Florida and holds her CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ designation. Mary lives in Westchester County, NY with her husband and children. Outside of work, Mary is an advocate for children’s healthcare and serves on the Family Advisory Council for the Morgan Stanley Children’s Hospital of NY.

About Chris Smith

Chris Smith is an Executive Director and Head of Morgan Stanley’s Trust Services Group. As a 30-year employee of Morgan Stanley, Chris is responsible for maintaining the “Open Architecture” trustee platform, which consists of thirteen third-party trust companies who can serve in a fiduciary, agency or custodial role for ultra-high-net worth client trust accounts. Chris and the Trust Services Group help Advisors, clients, prospects and the professional community understand the corporate trustee services available through Morgan Stanley and how our corporate trustee partners can be used to provide fiduciary solutions for clients. This involves reviewing trust document and statements as well as analyzing family dynamics. Chris then uses this information to recommend one or more of the firm’s third-party corporate trustee partners to possibly serve as trustee, co-trustee or administrative agent for a client trust account.

Prior to joining Morgan Stanley (Dean Witter), Chris worked in the Retirement Plans department of Prudential Securities and prior to that the District Agency department of Prudential Insurance Company. Chris holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication/Journalism and Psychology from St. John Fisher College in Rochester, NY. He lives in Saratoga Springs, NY with his wife Sharon and two boys, Ryan and Michael and has a passion for golf, skiing and horse racing.

About Thomas O'Brien

Thomas O’Brien is a Planning Associate at Morgan Stanley providing dedicated financial planning support to Financial Advisors and their teams. Operating as an extension of the FA/Team, he collaborates with clients to discover and define goals that matter most to them. Leveraging state of the art technology, he will evaluate various options and their potential outcomes to help clients confidently choose the appropriate course of action. Thomas provides expertise across a wide suite of Morgan Stanley planning tools designed to assist in the areas of investment accumulation, retirement, education, major purchase, cash flow, risk management, tax efficiency, and wealth transfer planning.

About Angelo Loumbas

Angelo is the Family Office Resources Generalist in the Northeast Region. Angelo provides in depth knowledge to ultra-high net worth (UHNW) clients and Financial Advisors across a broad range of family wealth and family office management matters. His area of focus includes family governance, wealth education,, strategic estate and financial planning, philanthropy management, lifestyle advisory, and customized asset allocation and portfolio construction. Angelo has over 25 years’ experience advising wealthy families, business owners, and philanthropic organizations.

Originally from Chicago and now residing in Westchester County, New York, , Angelo practiced law for 15 years and represented UHNW clients, closely held businesses, and major philanthropic organizations. He is admitted to the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners and has been asked to speak over the years before tax, trust and estate committees of estate planning councils and other organizations. Angelo has also contributed thought leadership through Morgan Stanley’s Family Legacy and Governance Institute leadership series and authored an article for Barrons.com, “Should I Invest in My Kid’s Start-Up? Financial Advisors Can Help Clients Decide” (2023).

Angelo has been advising UHNW clients in the financial services industry for over 17 years, with 13 of those years at Morgan Stanley in Chicago and New York. He earned his J.D. from Indiana University at Bloomington, his M.B.A. from the University of Notre Dame, and B.A. from DePaul University. He also holds his Series 7, 66 and 24 licenses. In addition, Angelo served as President of the Rotary Club of Chicago (“ROTARY/One”), the world’s first Rotary club (2009-2010).
