Welcome

We are The 101 Capitol Group at Morgan Stanley. We are committed to helping you protect and preserve your wealth, provide funding for your personal goals and pursue opportunities for the growth of your capital. At The 101 Capitol Group, we aim to establish long term relationships with a select group of clients by utilizing strategies that are personalized to each individual situation.

Our clients appreciate the structure of a multiple advisor team because of our coverage and continuity. To this end, Brandon formed a team with his former partner Valerie in 2009. Each brought a unique skill set and background to their advisory practice and they quickly found themselves better able to service their clients with a broader range of expertise. Valerie has since retired, but the team has continued to grow. In 2016, Annette joined the team to further enhance the diversity of thought. Our clients appreciate the team structure because they are able to draw on the knowledge of multiple, dedicated advisors to help navigate their financial journey.

Our goal is to become a trusted advisor for all of your financial decisions. To combine our own talents and experience with the vast resources of a global financial services firm. Please reach out to schedule an appointment. We are happy to provide a “sounding-board” or a brief “ask anything” session to answer your questions and see if we might be a good fit.

Meet The 101 Capitol Group

About Brandon C. Bailey

I began my investment career at a young age; buying, raising, and selling pigs on my family’s dairy farm. Eventually I parlayed pigs into calves and calves into dairy cows which I “donated” to the family business during economically challenging times. Growing up on the farm I learned first-hand the realities of running a business, the role of economics in market cycles, and the risks of not being diversified.

I worked my way through school earning both a Bachelor of Science in Business Management and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Phoenix. I have been actively involved in the public and private investment markets for 20 years. I have helped raise capital for private equity, commercial real estate and direct private placements. Prior to joining Morgan Stanley in 2009 I was a wealth advisor in a boutique independent investment office focusing on active portfolio management and alternative investments.

Outside of work I am active in church and the community. I had the unique opportunity to spend two years as a volunteer in the West African nations of Ghana and Sierra Leone, and I continue to follow closely the economic and political developments in that region. I coached Little League baseball for 12 seasons and served in various positions on the board. My wife Nicole and I are the proud and busy parents of four boys (Spencer, Jackson, Peyton, and Carter). We enjoy spending time fishing, hiking, snowboarding and attending our kids many events.

About Annette McNiven

Boise has been my home off and on for nearly 40 years. I hammered my way through college working for my father’s residential roofing company, graduating from Boise State with a bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Economics minor.

After college, I lived in Utah where I had my inaugural experience in the financial services industry working for a mutual fund company in Salt Lake City. Career pursuits eventually took a back seat to being a full-time homemaker and home-educator to two energetic boys, Robinson and Tanner.

Following a lengthy sabbatical from the work force, I stepped back into the family roofing business, this time as manager. One more career move in 2016 brought me to Morgan Stanley. In 2019, I earned the Certified Financial Planner (CFP®) designation. In 2021, with the support of my team, I relocated to Billings, Montana where I took on an additional role as Branch Manager.

Those little boys I homeschooled so long ago are now launching their own careers. Robinson is in flight school and Tanner will be graduating High School soon and plans to pursue a career in welding.
