About David L. Shine
David L. Shine, CIMA®, Executive Director, is a native Houstonian with a 29 year financial advisory career that began with Merrill Lynch in 1994 and includes 11 years with UBS Financial Services and 10 years with Morgan Stanley. His principal client base is senior management and executives of Fortune 1000 companies, high net-worth individuals, and small business owners.
David is currently licensed as a General Securities Representative in 18 U.S. states and territories, and registered as an Investment Advisor Representative. He is also licensed in 12 states as a General Lines Agent with Life, Accident, Health and HMO qualifications. David has an in-depth knowledge of Alternative Investment strategies as an Alternative Investments Director at Morgan Stanley. He is also recognized as a Portfolio Management Director by the Portfolio Management Group due to his continued success at utilizing Advisory Program Strategies and asset allocation for clients.
As an attestation to his commitment to today’s high net-worth families, David most recently earned Morgan Stanley’s Family Wealth Director designation. Designated Family Wealth Directors must demonstrate professional knowledge and experience in a range of wealth management solutions including estate planning strategies, alternative investments, control and restricted securities, lending, hedging and monetization, and business succession planning.
David graduated from University of Houston, with a Bachelors of Business Administration (BBA) in Finance. He received his CIMA® designation in 2004 from the Haas School of Business at the University of California, Berkeley.
David is past Board President and is currently on the Board of Directors for Bo’s Place, a non-profit bereavement center offering grief support to families who have lost a child or adult in their immediate family. He is also a Committee Member of the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo.
