Rex B. Peterson joined Morgan Stanley upon graduating from the University of California, San Diego with a degree in Economics. Today, with over 12 years at the firm, he brings significant experience and a unique combination of youth, vision and understanding that has led to successful outcomes for his clients through a myriad of financial environments. He utilizes his experience and knowledge to offer a wide range of solutions, with an emphasis on custom-crafted strategies for each individual client. Importantly, this rare combination of experience also provides his clients the comfort of knowing the next generation can be taken care of through a seamless transition and ensures their legacy plan gets passed down without interruption.As a financial planning specialist, Mr. Peterson consults closely with a wide variety of experts across Morgan Stanley and within the Southern California community to create advanced financial, retirement and inter-generational wealth strategies. As a Portfolio Manager, he manages custom investment portfolios that span a multitude of asset classes with special importance given to diversification and downside protection in an effort to preserve wealth throughout all market cycles. Mr. Peterson has passion for private and alternative investment strategies that can help reduce risk and increase returns. He strives to educate clients on the topic because he strongly believes these strategies are a misunderstood and underutilized asset class that represents a significant opportunity to potentially enhance portfolio results. Through Morgan Stanley, he can provide access to private equity, credit, real estate and hedge fund opportunities that, in many cases, are not accessible anywhere else. Mr. Peterson was honored to be recognized as a Five Star Wealth Manager each of the previous 3 years. Sports are another passion as he is an avid athlete and competitor. He also enjoys volunteering his time to coach youth football.
