My Story

A Modern Approach to
Holistic Wealth Management

In today’s complex and ever-changing world, careful planning and sound advice are more important than ever as you pursue your personal and professional goals. Having an attentive and knowledgeable advisor on your side can help simplify your life, so you can make informed decisions about your finances and your future.

As a Dedicated Equity Plan Specialist and seasoned Financial Advisor with 20 years of experience, I combine two valuable skills: the ability to educate you on all the details of your company’s equity compensation plan and the insights to build a detailed financial plan that aligns your specific goals and circumstances with a customized set of strategies and solutions.

I believe in taking a comprehensive approach to wealth management that goes well beyond investments. When you work with me and my team, we help you understand and enhance key areas of your life. Together, we’ll explore:

- How to reduce risk, from your portfolio to your health
- When and how to begin preparing for major life events
- What are the best strategies to minimize taxes
- How to efficiently generate income from your investments
- How certain decisions now can impact your life later
- How to educate and involve children with conversations about important money matters

Getting started is easy. It begins with a conversation. I look forward to getting to know you and sharing details on how I can make a meaningful impact on your financial efforts. My ultimate goal is to empower you to be more confident in your decisions, while helping ensure your money is there when you need it – no matter how long you live or what life events you encounter.

Financial Strategies for Life

Our clients count on us to manage their money with diligence and care. We understand the challenges of wealth and have decades of experience helping families simplify their increasingly complex lives, so they can reduce risk and enjoy the wealth they’ve worked so hard to build.

We are committed to the following core tenets we believe set us apart from other advisors.
    Longstanding Relationships
We enjoy building genuine and enduring relationships with our clients and their families. We do this by working with a select group of clients who value our depth of knowledge and experience. We often begin a new relationship with advice on a client’s equity plan that evolves into a deeper understanding of their overall finances. We are proud of the fact that many of our clients have been with us since I began my practice in 2001.
    Total Wealth Management
We take a holistic approach to wealth management that goes well beyond your investment portfolio. All your assets – including the benefits you receive from your employer – will be integrated into one comprehensive plan to help ensure they are working together to optimize performance, reduce risk and meet your goals.
    Goals-Based Process
From planning to implementation, every step of our process is designed to ensure a clear and easy experience. As the adage goes: “The devil is in the details.” We are committed to being your single point of contact for all your financial needs. We begin with a thorough understanding of your goals, aspirations and concerns, which in turn, drives the solutions we recommend in your tailored financial plan.
    A Team Approach
Over the years, I have cultivated a team approach to managing your wealth, developing a large virtual network of specialists within Morgan Stanley and across the industry. Together, we work closely with your accountant and estate planning attorney to evaluate the challenges you face and devise specific recommendations. We are comfortable serving as your lead advisor, helping ensure all the professionals you’ve hired are working together to address your priorities.
    Accountability
Every decision we make is focused on doing the right thing for you. We simplify your financial life, offering the most efficient solutions for your consideration with unbiased, objective advice. When you work with us, we are 100% accountable for our results and their impact on your plan.
    Standard of Care
We believe successful wealth management is a process, not an event. We have built a personalized service experience that is based on three critical components: continuous service, mutual understanding, and ongoing relationship building. Our process enables us to provide service that is both value-added and differentiating. We attract new clients – and maintain existing ones – because of our premium service experience.

Critical Questions We Help You Answer

Companies often reward employees with stock option grants or restricted stock. These are valuable perks that can go a long way towards enhancing your future financial security.

Yet many employees today aren’t sure how to incorporate their equity awards into their long-term wealth strategy. In fact, a recent survey found that 76 percent of employees who received some form of equity awards have never exercised their stock options or sold shares, and almost half (48 percent) said they didn’t act because they were fearful of making a mistake.1

That’s where we can help.

We are seasoned equity plan specialists with significant experience helping individuals like you unlock the true value of your equity awards. We are here to answer specific questions about your plan and help you set a course to a more financially secure future.

Here are a few of the key questions we help you answer:

    Branch Manager
    First Vice President
    Financial Advisor

An experienced financial professional, Annette enjoys working with corporate executives, business leaders and their families, providing highly personalized advice through a disciplined planning process. She focuses on what is most important to each client, so she can develop a customized plan designed to build, preserve and transfer their wealth.

Growing up in Boise, Annette has always loved numbers so it was no surprise she earned a B.S. degree in Mathematics from Boise State University. After college, she put her love of numbers to work in the financial services industry. Serving as an internal auditor for a mutual fund company, Annette spent her days studying numbers, confirming their accuracy and finding errors.

In 2016, she joined Morgan Stanley as a Wealth Advisory Associate. It is here where she first met Remy Pop, a firm believer in providing comprehensive financial plans to his stock plan participants. Remy soon asked Annette to manage that part of his growing business. Annette has been a valuable member of the team ever since. She earned her Certified Financial PlannerTM designation in 2019.

Outside of the office, family comes first. Annette and her husband, Stephen, have been married for 20 years. They love taking their boys, Robinson and Tanner, on adventures. The boys keep Annette and Stephen busy also with their activities, which currently include band concerts, basketball, and rock climbing.

    Financial Advisor

Mel has experience in working with corporate executives and entrepreneurs in the areas of financial planning, investment management and private banking.

His professional engagement with clients begins by considering their life goals: personal, professional, and charitable.
