Rachel helps multi-generational families and retirees build, preserve and transfer wealth with confidence. A CPA (not-practicing at Morgan Stanley) by training and a former private markets CFO, she brings deep experience in tax-efficient investment strategies and investment management, working with families to execute plans that align immediate priorities with enduring legacies. Her experience in Fortune 500 management adds strategic rigor, disciplined oversight, and sophisticated decision-making to complex family finances. With nearly three decades of experience in finance and an unwavering commitment to long-term relationships, Rachel provides a steady wellspring of guidance through evolving life stages, generational transitions, and moments of complexity – seeking to ensure decisions today strengthen the foundation for tomorrow.

Rachel is passionate about family, community and empowering others to live with purpose and financial confidence. She actively supports local charities focused on financial and physical wellness, as well as initiatives that advance opportunities for integrity-driven professionals. A former Board Member and ongoing supporter of the Appalachian Opportunity Fund, Rachel champions programs that help individuals pursue financial freedom through personalized coaching. She is involved in her church in Johnson City, and supports the Summit Leadership Foundation. Her past leadership roles include serving as Treasurer for a local cancer foundation and as Board Member of the YMCA.

Outside of her professional and volunteer commitments, Rachel enjoys staying active through exercise, hiking, kayaking, and she enjoys camping or spending time in the beautiful outdoors. She treasures time with her husband, Rusty, and nearly grown children Blake (& Avery) and Tinsley Grace.

    Stacey Jones - Vice President, Wealth Management Associate
    Stacey Jones is a Wealth Management Associate at Morgan Stanley and responsible for the day-to-day operations & administration of client accounts.

    Her career began in 1992 at J. C. Bradford where she worked in several areas of client service including Receptionist, Cashier, Wire Operator and Client Service Associate. In 2002, Stacey became Operations Manager for the Kingsport, TN Branch of UBS Financial Services. Stacey joined Morgan Stanley in April of 2010 during the joint venture with Smith Barney as a Business Service Manager servicing the Kentucky/Tennessee/West Virginia Complex. She joined The Bays Mountain Group in November 2015.

    Stacey makes her home in Church Hill, TN with her husband, Dave. They have two daughters and enjoy being outdoors, riding motorcycles and hiking.

    Renee Garber - Portfolio Associate
    Renee Garber is a Portfolio Associate with Morgan Stanley Wealth Management and is responsible for day-to-day operations & administration of client accounts.

    Renee has worked in the financial services industry over 33 years. She joined Morgan Stanley Wealth Management in 2009 as a Senior Registered Client Service Associate and became a Portfolio Associate in 2013. Her financial services career began at Heritage Federal Bank and Hilliard Lyons prior to working with the Waller/Cooper/Merritt/Stout team at UBS in 2002. She obtained her General Securities Representative license in 2005.

    Renee enjoys the outdoors, especially hiking, kayaking and playing with her fur babies. She and her husband, Geoff, currently reside in Colonial Heights and have two daughters.

    David Evans - Registered Client Service Associate
    David is passionate about building meaningful relationships and supporting clients throughout their financial journey.

    David Graduated from Tusculum University in 2025 with a degree in Accounting and Economics and a minor in Computer Science.

    During his time at Tusculum, he was a four-year Student-athlete on the men's soccer team, where he was named South Atlantic conference Male Athlete of the Week.

    With a strong foundation in finance and economics, paired with a love for problem-solving, David brings both analytical and people focused skills to the team.
    He is committed to continuing his education to help serve clients on their journey towards their long-term financial goals.

    Outside of work. David enjoys spending quality time with family and friends, reading fantasy novels, working out, and pursuing his hobby of Software development.
    He values integrity, transparency, and building lasting relationship. He looks forward to helping clients navigate their financial futures.

About Mark Treese

Mark Treese is a Senior Private Banker serving Morgan Stanley Wealth Management offices in Kentucky, Tennessee, and West Virginia.

Private Bankers partner with Financial Advisors to develop a specialized approach for managing clients’ cash flow, liquidity and financing needs, leveraging our comprehensive suite of cash management and lending solutions.

Mark began his career in financial services in 1998 and joined Morgan Stanley in 2010. He recently served as a Senior Private Banker covering PWM, Buckhead and Atlanta Perimeter Markets. Prior to joining the firm, he was a Private Banker at Wells Fargo.

Mark is a graduate of the Pennsylvania State University, where he received a Bachelor of Science in Finance. He resides in Louisville, Kentucky with his family.

Outside of the office, Mark dedicates his time as a youth coach for Junior Golf and Little League and stays active with local community organizations, including the Boys Scouts of America. An avid golfer and former collegiate tournament winner, Mark also enjoys hiking, fishing, and skiing.

About Mark Jansen

Mark Jansen is a Family Office Resources Generalist for Morgan Stanley’s Family Office Resources, covering the Southeast Region. In this capacity, Mark provides specialized expertise to Financial Advisors and their UHNW clients across a broad range of family wealth management issues including; family governance and wealth education, strategic estate and financial planning, philanthropy management and lifestyle advisory. Mark has over 30 years of experience advising wealthy families, business owners, and their children.

Most recently, Mark worked with New York Life in their Advanced Planning Group working with agents and their UHNW clients advising them on estate and legacy planning, business buy sell planning, and succession planning. Prior to New York Life, Mark held similar Advanced Planning Consulting roles in several National financial organizations. He originally started his career in the financial services industry in the tax department of the public accounting firm Grant Thornton. He is known for taking complex ideas and making them easy to understand. Frequently speaking to groups and individuals on estate and business planning, he brings a conversational style that helps to clarify the complex nature of these topics.

Mark received a Bachelor of Science degree from St. John’s University in Collegeville MN, received his JD degree Cum Laude from the University of Minnesota and his CPA license while working at Grant Thornton. He holds a Series 7, 24 and 63 securities licenses. He currently lives in Richmond Virginia with his wife and occasionally one of their 6 children.
