Financial Planning

No matter what stage your life is in, a comprehensive plan can help you achieve your financial goals. Our financial planning process is a goal-oriented system designed to help create a holistic and comprehensive step forward in the path to the financial future you envision. Our planning process is dynamic, allowing for flexibility to adapt to changes in your life as they happen. We begin by taking a deep dive into your balance sheet during our discovery process and from there, discuss a variety of strategies that include the following:
    Icon Image
    Cash Flow Planning
We strive to make sure clients have a high degree of confidence they can meet their cashflow needs – particularly in retirement. Income often comes from multiple sources, including employment, social security and investment income. Your financial plan will use history as a guide to test whether you will have the cash flow to potentially meet your goals and to determine how to generate income in the most strategic and tax efficient way possible.
    Icon Image
    Tax Planning
The tax treatment of your investments and distributions can have a significant impact on your ability to build wealth and ultimately distribute income on a tax efficient basis. Financial planning and close collaboration with a client’s CPA can help guide use of tax advantaged retirement accounts, tax-exempt income from municipal bonds and other tax efficient strategies.
    Icon Image
    Estate Planning Strategies
Most clients will leave assets to family, other beneficiaries, charities, or the IRS at the end of their lives. An important part of the financial planning process is to be intentional about estate and wealth transition goals. We will work closely with you and your estate attorney to properly document your intentions while considering tax efficient wealth transfer strategies. We will also help to ensure the titling of your accounts and beneficiary designations are fully aligned with your plan.
    Icon Image
    Risk Management
It is prudent to take steps to minimize the risks to your financial plan. These risks include short-term market volatility, but also inflation and longevity risk. It also includes protection strategies against the risks to your family if you die early or become sick and injured and unable to work. Diversification, aligning your portfolio to the timeframe of your goals, and insurance are all important strategies to manage risk in your financial plan.
    Icon Image
    Retirement Planning
A primary financial goal for many clients is to retire someday while maintaining a lifestyle that is the same or better than the one they enjoyed while working. Financial planning can help clients consider how to leverage tax efficient strategies to build wealth and strategically generate retirement income. We evaluate how to position client portfolios, use of strategies beyond traditional portfolios, how to generate and distribute income, and analysis of when to start social security.
