My Story

I love what I do…mostly because I feel like I’m truly helping people. My clients come to me for investment advice, of course, but they also ask me questions that have nothing to do with financial markets:

• “Can I really afford to take a second vacation this year?”
• “Should I buy or lease my new car?”
• “I’m thinking about selling my home. Do you know any good realtors?”

I’ve spent the past 34 years helping clients understand what they need to do to get where they want. My commitment to them goes far beyond helping them choose appropriate investments. And my promise to them is that they will always have someone by their side who takes genuine pleasure in seeing them succeed.

Working With You

I take pride in the depth and longevity of my client relationships. Many extend from generation to generation as clients introduce me to their children and grandchildren.

The clients I serve face a wide variety of financial issues, some of which they’re painfully aware, others of which they are not. Many understand, for example, that they must accumulate sufficient assets for retirement, but fewer realize that they must develop a strategy for converting assets to income for day-to-day expenses – income that will remain constant even through adverse markets and last for the rest of their lives.

My clients know that I will always go the extra mile for them, whether that involves meeting with them at their homes, hand-delivering documents, making myself available whenever they need me or referring them to attorneys, accountants and other professionals with specialized experience.

Biography

For as long as I can remember, I wanted to pursue a career in finance – not to help companies go public or consummate mergers and acquisitions, but to provide people with advice that would make a difference in their financial lives.

I began pursuing my passion more than 34 years ago at Lehman Brothers. Much of my career, however, was spent at Citigroup where I created and managed a team of Financial Advisors and mentored young professionals with the same dream as mine. It wasn’t until 2016 when I joined Morgan Stanley, however, that I realized what I’d been missing.

Here I can provide my clients with the research and resources they need to navigate today’s complex markets and pursue goals beyond their investment portfolio. Estate planning, insurance, lending – I am able to help clients manage their wealth with strategies that encompass virtually every aspect of their financial lives. In addition, I often serve as a source for other Financial Advisors who seek assistance in non-investment disciplines.

I received my BS in Business Administration from The University of Hartford and later earned an MBA from Fordham University. Outside the office, I’ve served on the board of our local homeowners’ association for the past 22 years and enjoy spending time with family, skiing, attending concerts, and travel.

3When Morgan Stanley Smith Barney LLC, its affiliates and Morgan Stanley Financial Advisors and Private Wealth Advisors (collectively, “Morgan Stanley”) provide “investment advice” regarding a retirement or welfare benefit plan account, an individual retirement account or a Coverdell education savings account (“Retirement Account”), Morgan Stanley is a “fiduciary” as those terms are defined under the Employee Retirement Income Security Act of 1974, as amended (“ERISA”), and/or the Internal Revenue Code of 1986 (the “Code”), as applicable. When Morgan Stanley provides investment education, takes orders on an unsolicited basis or otherwise does not provide “investment advice”, Morgan Stanley will not be considered a “fiduciary” under ERISA and/or the Code. For more information regarding Morgan Stanley’s role with respect to a Retirement Account, please visit www.morganstanley.com/disclosures/dol. Tax laws are complex and subject to change. 8Investors should consider many factors before deciding which 529 plan is appropriate. Some of these factors include: the Plan’s investment options and the historical investment performance of these options, the Plan’s flexibility and features, the reputation and expertise of the Plan’s investment manager, Plan contribution limits and the federal and state tax benefits associated with an investment in the Plan. Some states, for example, offer favorable tax treatment and other benefits to their residents only if they invest in the state’s own Qualified Tuition Program. Investors should determine their home state’s tax treatment of 529 plans when considering whether to choose an in-state or out-of-state plan. Investors should consult with their tax or legal advisor before investing in any 529 Plan or contact their state tax division for more information. Morgan Stanley Smith Barney LLC does not provide tax and/or legal advice. Investors should review a Program Disclosure Statement, which contains more information on investment options, risk factors, fees and expenses and possible tax consequences.
