Path to Your Goals

When planning a journey, it’s best to map out a plan to arrive at your destination as efficiently as possible. The same is true when planning for your future.

By understanding where you and your family are today – your “Point A” – and where you want to go – your “Point B” – we map out a strategy to get there as planned. If we anticipate a detour, we proactively re-route our guidance, so you can achieve your goals safely and effectively.

Here is a brief overview of the process we follow to guide you on the road to financial success.
    Icon Image
    1. Introductory Discussion
We begin with an informal conversation to understand your financial concerns and determine how we can add value. Should we agree to move forward, we’ll schedule a meeting and request important financial information.
    Icon Image
    2. Getting To Know You
We continue the dialogue by fostering an in-depth discussion to learn what is most important to you and your family. We explore the values that shape your decisions and identify any unique circumstances. We also review the documents you’ve prepared and define your priorities.
    Icon Image
    3. Building Your Custom Roadmap
Here, we review your finances, determine the likelihood of reaching your goals and address the impact of unexpected life events. Based on our comprehensive analysis, we’ll develop and present a detailed action plan with recommendations tailored to achieve your goals.
    Icon Image
    4. Implementation
Once we activate your plan, we’ll set up a number of meetings to ensure your account is set up properly and you have convenient access to your account. We’ll also interact with your accountant and estate attorney to ensure a coordinated effort.
    Icon Image
    5. Ongoing Monitoring
We apply a strict due diligence process and set up regular calls or meetings to discuss progress towards your goals. We may recommend adjustments over time, due to changes in your life or market conditions, to help keep you on track towards achieving your goals.

Meet Mount Kemble Wealth Management Group

About Steven Goldstein

"I strongly believe that each person’s financial objectives are a subset of the values, interests, and passions that make us unique."

Steve enjoys working in close partnership with clients to solve the various pieces of their personal financial puzzle. He believes a financial plan should be as much about the individual as it is about the markets, and that intelligent planning and asset management is a very personal process.

Steve began his career at Merrill Lynch in 1981, guiding clients through numerous economic and market cycles. It is here where he met his future business partner, Dan O’Neill. Together, they established the Goldstein-O’Neill Group in 2002 and seven years later, moved to Morgan Stanley to gain access to the firm’s growing pool of resources and intellectual capital. In 2018, Steve and Dan joined forces with the Mamis/Gnall Group to form the Mount Kemble Wealth Management Group, a seasoned advisory team serving the needs of families and business owners in the New York Metro area and across the country.

Steve draws upon his deep experience to provide clients with tailored advice and customized portfolios. A graduate of Miami University in Oxford, Ohio, Steve earned the Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor® designation from the College for Financial Planning. This credential provides Steve with advanced skills and experience to help clients navigate a wide array of pre- and post- retirement issues.

Steve’s commitment to his clients is equaled only by his dedication to his family and community. He has been a longstanding supporter of youth sports. He currently serves as a board member of the Madison Area YMCA, where he also served as president of the girls’ gymnastics organization. Steve has enjoyed coaching softball and soccer in Berkeley Heights, where he and his wife, Wendi, have lived for over 20 years with their three daughters.

About Daniel P. O'Neill

“If you fail to plan, you are planning to fail.” - Ben Franklin

A seasoned professional for more than 30 years, Dan is dedicated to helping families and business leaders solve their financial challenges. His results-driven approach includes the development of a tailored wealth management plan and a commitment to ongoing education and outstanding service.

Dan’s career began in 1990 as he was attending Boston University’s School of Law. While studying, Dan worked for a financial planning firm, where he was exposed to many areas of personal finance. He saw first-hand the power of providing clients with tailored, objective advice, so they can plan effectively towards achieving their goals. After earning his Juris Doctor degree, Dan joined Merrill Lynch as a Financial Advisor. In 2002, Dan and Steve Goldstein founded The Goldstein-O’Neill Group, bringing together a vast array of experience and skills for their clients. They moved to Morgan Stanley in 2009 and established The Mount Kemble Wealth Management Group.

Dan has always been committed to professional development. In addition to degrees from Boston University and Tufts University, Dan earned his Certified Financial Planner™ and Certified Retirement Planning Consultant® designations. Dan is also a Family Wealth Director at Morgan Stanley, a credential earned by less than 3% of the firm’s advisors. As a result, Dan and his team have access to an extensive range of resources needed to help families manage the complex, multigenerational challenges of significant wealth.

On a personal note, Dan and his wife, Lauren, reside in Morristown with their three adult children. Dan enjoys golf, pickleball and rooting for his favorite sports teams.
