Discovery

Who are you as a person, not just an investor? What do you hope to achieve for yourself and your family and what do you fear might be standing in your way? Our conversations will explore your aspirations, apprehensions and unique circumstances. In addition, we’ll conduct a total inventory of your finances to determine your liabilities, as well as your assets, and whether or not you’re assuming risks of which you might not be aware. Only when we have a thorough understanding of these will we proceed to the next phase of our process.

    Developing Your Plan

With a Certified Financial Planning professional and a Morgan Stanley-credentialed Financial Planning Specialist on our team, we have the ability to create a customized plan for every client we advise. Your plan will give you an idea of where you stand versus what you hope to achieve someday, whether your aspirations are realistic and if so, how we might go about pursuing them. As you might imagine, your plan contains a customized asset allocation for your investment portfolio, but it also includes recommendations that may encompass such diverse disciplines as retirement planning, estate planning and strategic use of debt to finance a second home or other major acquisition.

      About Henry Keating

      Henry Keating
      Executive Director, Wealth Management
      Alternative Investments Director
      Financial Advisor

Henry co-founded The Milton Point Group and brings more than 30 years of financial experience to every client he advises. He began his career at Citibank but soon realized that his passion lay with helping individual clients achieve their aspirations through customized investment strategies. “I derive great satisfaction out of guiding clients through various life stages and providing them with solutions to the challenges they face,” he says. “Many of my clients have been with me for several decades.”

Henry joined Morgan Stanley in 2011, a time when alternative investments were beginning to be recognized as an important component of clients’ asset allocations. He earned Morgan Stanley’s prestigious Alternative Investment Director designation and believes that carefully chosen alternatives can decrease volatility while adding to a portfolio’s overall return. “I was a Political Science major in college,” he explains, “and like my major, Alternatives demand a study of not only finance, but economics, business and politics.”

A graduate of Wittenburg University in Ohio, Henry grew up in Darien, Connecticut and now resides in Wilton with his wife, Karen. Over the years, he has been active in his community, having served on several boards, while supporting charitable organizations like Folds of Honor, and sponsoring golf tournaments at local clubs. He and Karen are the proud parents of three adult children who live in NYC and are establishing their own successful careers.

      About Paul J. Olivo

      Paul Olivo, CIMA®
      Senior Vice President
      Certified Investment Management Analyst
      Financial Advisor

Paul co-founded The Milton Point Group in 2025, and like the team’s other co-founders, he brings decades of experience to the clients he serves. His career began as an intern at PaineWebber where he realized how much he enjoyed interacting with clients and helping them surmount the obstacles standing between them and their financial goals.

“I’m endlessly fascinated by my clients’ stories,” he says. “How they got to where they are, what their areas of expertise are, and what they hope to achieve for themselves and their families.” Paul is a major proponent of financial planning and believes that if his client relationships begin with a plan, solutions will naturally follow. Those solutions include investments, but also go far beyond client portfolios to encompass retirement plans and financing strategies for growing businesses, exit strategies for business owners, and equity compensation guidance for corporate executives. In addition, Paul is a Certified Investment Management Analyst (CIMA®), a credential that enables him to evaluate third party investment managers and determine whether they have a place in the team’s client portfolios.

“The firm’s Consulting Group is unmatched in its ability to research asset managers for performance, risk assumed to achieve that performance, organizational excellence and other critical criteria,” he explains, “but my CIMA training has helped me determine whether asset management in public markets is a viable idea for certain clients or whether alternatives like private equity, credit or real estate might make more sense in certain cases.”

Paul grew up in Crestwood and still resides there with his wife Sandra and their two teenage sons, Peter and Paul. He is an active alumnus of Fordham Prep and takes a lead role in supporting the school’s lacrosse team through its Top Corners Club.

He began his career while still in college, working at a local Citibank branch where he realized how much he enjoyed helping clients meet the challenges that could have otherwise affected their ability to reach important financial goals. “I treasure the trust that clients give me,” he says, “and I find it deeply satisfying when they refer me to cousins, in-laws and other family members.”

John joined Morgan Stanley in 2011 and immediately recognized the advantages that the firm offered his clients. “Our Consulting Group researches hundreds of third-party investment managers annually,” he says, “and our Alternatives platform is far more extensive than those available at other firms. In addition, there are always experts available to work with me on especially complex issues like helping senior executives make the most of their equity compensation.”

Throughout his career, John has focused on educating not only his clients, but himself. He earned the firm’s prestigious Alternative Investments Director and Financial Planning Specialist designations, and outside the office, he teaches school age children and serves as a lector at The Resurrection Church in Rye.
