My Story

Mark began his long and successful career as a Financial Advisor in 1986. Since then he has witnessed a variety of different market cycles and economic events.  These experiences help him in designing customized financial strategies for his clients.  From 1978 to 1984, Mark managed the family amusement business during the summers in Traverse City and Grand Rapids Michigan.  Mark attended Michigan State University graduating in 1984 with a Business Degree, majoring in Accounting with a concentration in Finance.  After graduation he worked in public accounting doing audit and tax work before becoming a Financial Advisor.Mark is an active member of the Portfolio Management Institute, an independent organization of Morgan Stanley advisors dedicated to advancing their asset management skills.  He was also a member of the Association of Professional Investment Consultants.Community Service has always been an important aspect of Mark’s life.  He has been an active board member of the Northwest Michigan Community College (NMC) Foundation since 2005. Prior to his several leadership positions on the board, he served as co-chairman of the Advanced Major Gifts committee for the NMC Great Lakes Campus Capital Campaign.  Mark has also served on the board of Child and Family Services of Northwest Michigan, the Finance Committee of the Central United Methodist Church and the public board of Munson Healthcare.  He is currently a member of the Traverse City Economic Club, The Grand Traverse Area Estate Planning Council and the Chamber of Commerce.Mark has been married to his wife Karen since 1986 and has two grown children, Emily and Max. When not working, Mark enjoys spending time with family, traveling, snow skiing, hunting, fishing, golf, pickleball and boating.

She also assists in the portfolio management process with trade execution and monitors key operational activities that help ensure a seamless client experience.

     
    Christine lives in Interlochen with her husband Mike and their children Brandon, Sam, Corey, Ben and Elli. She enjoys spending time with her family, being creative in the kitchen and walking outside with her dog Chase.
