Krista Girrbach has been helping clients pursue their financial goals as a Financial Advisor since 1989. She is a First Vice President, CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™, Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor® and Chartered Retirement Plans Specialists®. She is a qualified Portfolio Manager who, in addition to providing traditional advice and guidance, can help clients pursue their objectives by building and managing her own personalized and defined strategies.
Krista offers personalized wealth management strategies to affluent individuals and their families including but not limited to executives, retirees, doctors, farmers and business owners. She takes great pride in functioning as a boutique like business within the confines of one of the world’s leading wealth management and advisory companies. From a very young age, Krista was a great friend who listened and offered sound advice. Her friends trusted and knew that the conversation would remain confidential. Krista has always had a desire to help others succeed. She has great problem solving skills and really enjoys talking through people’s concerns and creating viable solutions. Her personal mission is to help make a positive difference in the lives of everyone she meets. Krista grew up on a farm in Ida, Michigan where her family raised and showed World quality Appaloosa horses. Being raised on a farm taught Krista a great work ethic, responsibility, discipline and other valuable life skills. Competing on a National circuit showing Appaloosa horses that her family bred and raised became a passion. Krista has won over 50 National and World Champion equestrian titles and numerous high point awards. When she began studying at the University of Michigan she wanted to become a doctor to help people. She was active in the Sigma Kappa Sorority and served as the Philanthropy chair. Upon completion of her sophomore year, she competed and won the title of Miss Appaloosa America. This honor required Krista to take a year off from her studies at the University of Michigan to serve as an ambassador for the Appaloosa Horse Club all over the world! It was a wonderful experience which influenced Krista’s decision to pursue a career in business upon returning to the University of Michigan. Krista graduated with honors earning a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology.
Krista believes in giving back to her community. She is a member of the Adrian Kiwanis Club, has served as the President and currently serves on the board of directors of the Adrian Kiwanis Foundation. She is a member of Crossroads Community Church in Adrian and was previously on the ProMedica Bixby/Herrick Hospital Foundation Board and the Monroe County Humane Society Board. Krista has a strong faith, enjoys riding and showing her Appaloosa Horses, biking, hiking, boating, traveling and she loves spending time outdoors enjoying nature! Krista and her husband, Michael, have two children, Lori and Matthew. They live in the Irish Hills in Michigan and also enjoy spending time at their home in De Tour Village in Michigan's beautiful Upper Peninsula.

About Karen Simpson
Karen began her career in the Financial industry in 1987 in the securities department filing with Savage and Associates. She gradually learned more about the business, was given more duties, and obtained her Series 6 license. In 1997 she went on to Merrill Lynch where she obtained her Series 7 and 66 licenses.
She truly enjoys her work and was very happy to join Morgan Stanley in 2020. It is her pleasure to serve clients and help them reach their financial goals. She takes pride in adding valuable support to the Financial Advisor’s wealth management efforts. Working on the operational side of the business, she is often the first voice that you will hear. She is extremely knowledgeable, personable and skilled. Her goal is to render excellence in service and enhance the client’s experience with The Girrbach Team by providing client service and support of the highest quality.
With her credentials and passion she is sure to add value to the team as a Registered Client Service Associate. Customer Service driven, she focuses on helping clients and their families obtain financial independence and success.
Karen has always been very active in her church serving on different ministries through the years including: Bible Study Teacher, Praise Dance Instructor, Kid’s Bank Ministry, Hospitality Ministry, Tape Ministry and Children’s Story.
Karen is extremely family oriented and loves to spend quality time with family! When the family gets together they like to play games. She will often put a twist to games or even make up games and has been given the name “Milton Bradley.” She likes to put parties together and enjoys having everyone in her backyard. She will have a “back to school party”, “summer party”, “birthday party” or “diva deck party”, etc…she just needs a reason! One party that has become a tradition in her family is their annual Christmas Cookie Decorating Party where they eat, play games, decorate cookies and compete in a ginger bread house decorating contest. She just loves bringing her family together. In her spare time she enjoys scrap booking, exercising, and taking rides with her husband in their Sling Shot; a topless three-wheeled motor vehicle. Taking long rides is relaxing and lots of fun!
She resides in Toledo with her husband Lewis and daughter Courtney. She has 2 adult children, Lewie and Janell and 1 grandchild, Rodney III who brings her pure joy!

1Investors should consider many factors before deciding which 529 plan is appropriate. Some of these factors include: the Plan’s investment options and the historical investment performance of these options, the Plan’s flexibility and features, the reputation and expertise of the Plan’s investment manager, Plan contribution limits and the federal and state tax benefits associated with an investment in the Plan. Some states, for example, offer favorable tax treatment and other benefits to their residents only if they invest in the state’s own Qualified Tuition Program. Investors should determine their home state’s tax treatment of 529 plans when considering whether to choose an in-state or out-of-state plan. Investors should consult with their tax or legal advisor before investing in any 529 Plan or contact their state tax division for more information. Morgan Stanley Smith Barney LLC does not provide tax and/or legal advice. Investors should review a Program Disclosure Statement, which contains more information on investment options, risk factors, fees and expenses and possible tax consequences.

6When Morgan Stanley Smith Barney LLC, its affiliates and Morgan Stanley Financial Advisors and Private Wealth Advisors (collectively, “Morgan Stanley”) provide “investment advice” regarding a retirement or welfare benefit plan account, an individual retirement account or a Coverdell education savings account (“Retirement Account”), Morgan Stanley is a “fiduciary” as those terms are defined under the Employee Retirement Income Security Act of 1974, as amended (“ERISA”), and/or the Internal Revenue Code of 1986 (the “Code”), as applicable. When Morgan Stanley provides investment education, takes orders on an unsolicited basis or otherwise does not provide “investment advice”, Morgan Stanley will not be considered a “fiduciary” under ERISA and/or the Code. 7The returns on a portfolio consisting primarily of Environmental, Social and Governance (“ESG”) aware investments may be lower or higher than a portfolio that is more diversified or where decisions are based solely on investment considerations. Because ESG criteria exclude some investments, investors may not be able to take advantage of the same opportunities or market trends as investors that do not use such criteria. Diversification does not guarantee a profit or protect against loss in a declining financial market.
