Approach

Discovery Process
Investing the time to learn about you and your family; your assets and liabilities and the risk exposures, enables us to formulate strategies and customize the relationship to your needs.
Formulation of Tax, Trust and Estate Strategy
Working with your tax and legal advisors, we help analyze your income and estate tax circumstances to identify and tailor planning techniques that may be used to address your objectives.
Creation of Customized Strategic Asset Allocation
Your customized asset allocation reflects risk, opportunities and taxation across multiple entities, while integrating your investing and estate plans.
Integration of Tactical Asset Allocation
Short-term adjustments seek to capitalize on temporary market distortions. Before making adjustments, we analyze the impact of taxes and trading costs on potential returns.
Implementation of a Customized Wealth Strategy
After comprehensive due diligence and analysis of expected results across multiple market scenarios, strategies are chosen from our expansive investment platform.
Ongoing Assessment
In coordination with your other advisors, we can conduct ongoing reviews and comprehensive reporting to ensure that your strategy adapts to changing financial and family needs.

Our Family Approach To Your Family Legacy

Family is in our team’s DNA. After partnering for many years with his own father, Todd Hasie now works alongside his son Mont. The significance? Our team knows firsthand what it means to carry on a legacy based on family values. We are committed to addressing your family’s comprehensive financial needs for decades and even generations to come.

Our multigenerational makeup also gives us a leg up in the present: as we meet proactively with the next generation, our similar life experiences allow us to “speak the same language” as we help educate them on what it means to maintain a long-term financial outlook.

    Preserving Wealth
When it comes to high net worth, your needs tend to be more complicated than most. Wealthy families in particular face one daunting challenge: preserving wealth across generations.

For us, this not only points to the vital importance of multigenerational planning; it also indicates the need for customized solutions. Because if a successful cookie-cutter approach did exist, the success rate would not have been so bleak.

Case Study: Complexity

We pride ourselves on helping clients navigate every stage of their financial life. Inevitably, each stage brings new challenges and opportunities that require unique planning and guidance.

For one of our long-time clients, that new stage began when he decided to sell the successful business he had run for many years. It was a huge monetization event. But while he knew it could set his family up for generations, he didn’t know what steps he needed to take to achieve that objective. That’s where we came in.

Leveraging Morgan Stanley’s exclusive resources for ultra high net worth clients, we provided estate planning, financial planning, asset allocation modeling, banking, and tax strategies. We provided financial education for his children, and helped one of the children secure a preferred mortgage. We even helped set up a donor advised fund to help the client offset his tax liability while making impactful donations to the charitable causes he cared about most.

At the end of the day, what we really did was to help translate his wealth event into a long-term wealth strategy. So he could proceed confidently into the next chapter of his life: retirement.

Alternative investments often are speculative and include a high degree of risk. Investors could lose all or a substantial amount of their investment. Alternative investments are appropriate only for eligible, long-term investors who are willing to forgo liquidity and put capital at risk for an indefinite period of time. They may be highly illiquid and can engage in leverage and other speculative practices that may increase the volatility and risk of loss. Alternative Investments typically have higher fees than traditional investments. Investors should carefully review and consider potential risks before investing.

8Investors should consider many factors before deciding which 529 plan is appropriate. Some of these factors include: the Plan’s investment options and the historical investment performance of these options, the Plan’s flexibility and features, the reputation and expertise of the Plan’s investment manager, Plan contribution limits and the federal and state tax benefits associated with an investment in the Plan. Some states, for example, offer favorable tax treatment and other benefits to their residents only if they invest in the state’s own Qualified Tuition Program.
