About Me

Betsy is a Certified Financial Planner TM and Executive Director at Morgan Stanley. With more than 35 years of industry experience, Betsy focuses on meeting the investment management, lifestyle and legacy planning needs of business executives, families and ultra-high net worth individuals and family offices. She also has significant experience in financing and succession planning for private business owners.

Prior to becoming a Financial Advisor, Betsy spent a decade managing a team of commercial lenders at J.P. Morgan, becoming a trusted resource to entrepreneurs and family-owned businesses. In 1998, she was offered the opportunity to become the Chief Financial Officer for a successful wholesale distributor company. The family ultimately sold its business and real estate with Betsy's astute guidance, transitioning her to Chief Investment Officer of their Family Office. She later joined BNY Mellon where she built a successful practice focusing on pre-sale planning and other investment strategies designed specifically for business owners and families with legacy planning goals.

While building her practice at BNY Mellon, Betsy enjoyed working with a number of smart and caring advisors with a similar focus and mandate: to build deep relationships with each client to be able to deliver cutting edge advice in a highly personal and high-touch manner. They officially joined forces at Morgan Stanley in late 2020.

Betsy is a proud graduate of Rutgers University where she earned a B.A. in Economics. She went on to earn her M.B.A. in Finance from New York University, and in 2006 when she pivoted to wealth management, Betsy also earned a Certified Financial PlannerTM (CFP@), the recognized standard of excellence for personal financial planning.

Betsy's desire to help others is equaled only by her dedication to her community. She is Vice Chair of the Board of Directors for Rutgers University Foundation, and the Board of Trustees of the McCarter Theatre and the Strategic Planning, Audit and Professional Advisors Committees of the Princeton Area Community Foundation. Betsy and her husband, Bernie, also passionate supporters of Rutgers Future Scholars and Rutgers Athletics.

About Lauren Conigliaro, CFP®

A second-generation Financial Advisor, Lauren has dedicated her career to serving the specialized needs of successful professionals, business leaders and families living in the Greater New York area and around the country. She enjoys educating clients on how to create and implement an effective financial plan and helping them making more informed and confident decisions about their wealth. For Lauren, professional success is measured in terms of client well-being and goal achievement.

Growing up in Basking Ridge, NJ, Lauren learned first-hand about the power of sound financial advice from her father, a successful advisor for more than 40 years.

She enjoyed observing him as he guided families in simplifying their financial challenges and achieving their long-term goals. This inspired Lauren to pursue a similar career.

Upon graduating from Rutgers University, Lauren joined Lincoln Financial as a Private Wealth Advisor before moving to BNY Mellon in 2015 and Morgan Stanley in 2020. As a financial advisor, Lauren helps clients manage all aspects of their financial lives. Her areas of focus include investment management, estate planning and efficient tax planning strategies.

Lauren enjoys working with like-minded clients who value the high level of service she and her colleagues delivers. Her goals-based process begins with asking the right questions and actively listening. This information then serves as the foundation for the development of a comprehensive plan and investment portfolio that reflects each client’s goals for the future. Lauren receives great satisfaction knowing she is making a significant impact on the quality of her clients’ lives and often
becomes one of the most important relationships to their families.

A strong believer in paying it forward, Lauren is very active in giving back to her community. Outside of the office, Lauren enjoys spending time with her husband, Mark and their children. She loves to travel, cook, workout, and watch sports.

About Chris Connolly

As a Portfolio Management Associate, Chris focuses on building strong client relationships and providing superior service. A consummate professional, he is often the first line of contact on a wide range of client questions and requests. Chris is involved in all aspects of client service – from opening new accounts, to executing money transfers, to implementing key elements of a client’s financial plan.

Growing up in Lake Hopatcong, NJ, Chris was always interested in the financial markets and received great satisfaction helping others. Pursuing a career in financial services was the perfect opportunity to bring these two passions together. After earning his Finance degree from Marist College in 2014, Chris began his
career at BNY Mellon as a Fund Administrator, before taking on the role of Investment Operations Associate at Prudential Financial a year later.

In 2016, Chris returned to BNY Mellon to work with Elizabeth McNeilly and Lauren Conigliaro. He immediately became an integral member of their team and for the next five years served as an Associate Wealth Manager, working directly with clients to develop and execute customized strategies designed to help them achieve their goals. Chris recently rejoined Elizabeth and Lauren’s practice after they moved to Morgan Stanley in 2021.

Today, Chris calls Montclair his home. Outside of the office, he enjoys a broad array of activities including snowboarding, all things fitness, and cooking. He is also very tech savvy and loves to spend some of his free time building his own computers.
