Meet Edelman Group

About Me

Aaron Edelman began his career in 1979 when he joined the firm of Shearson Loeb Rhodes as an Insurance Specialist. He is currently an Executive Director at Morgan Stanley Private Wealth Management with over 1 billion dollars in assets under management as of 04/18. Over the years, Aaron has grown his business by widening his focus to include entire client estate planning strategies, including asset management, utilizing Morgan Stanley’s Consulting Group platform. Prior to the Morgan Stanley Smith Barney joint venture, Aaron was chosen to be a Citi Family Office advisor which allowed him to broaden the services he offered, and still continues to offer his clients. Overall, Aaron uses a consultative approach in estate planning strategies, life insurance, long term care insurance, and managed money. Using this method has allowed the Edelman Group to develop many multi-generational family relationships. With his extensive experience Aaron creates and implements comprehensive wealth plans for families and high-net-worth individuals.

Aaron currently lives in Manhattan with his wife Linda. His older daughter Jenny is a Lawyer and younger daughter Lauren is a Social Worker. Aaron enjoys collecting pens and spending time with his family.

About Me

Bradley is a Senior Vice President at Morgan Stanley Private Wealth Management, focusing on equity, fixed income and estate planning strategies for high net worth individuals and families. He works directly with Morgan Stanley’s capital markets desk and various external resources in order to help create customized asset allocation strategies. Bradley has worked with the Edelman Group and its clients for over 11 years. His role also includes executing the team’s customized Portfolio Management strategies, structured investments, alternative investments and working closely with the Insurance Brokerage Team during the entire underwriting process.

Brad works closely with third party specialists to help clients develop comprehensive financial plans. He believes in multi-dimensional estate planning strategies to preserve, maintain, and transfer assets to others by creating various trusts (irrevocable life insurance trusts, special needs trusts etc.) to help plan for liquidity events and wealth transfer strategies.

Prior to joining The Edelman Group in 2004, Brad worked at Bear Stearns on the Trading Desk after graduating from Lehigh University in 2000 with a BS in Finance.

He currently lives in Roslyn, New York with his wife and three children. In his free time, he enjoys going to sporting events, art galleries, and playing golf and tennis.

About Me

Tara is a Registered Portfolio Associate who started her career in Finance at Citi Smith Barney in 2007, joining the Edelman Group in 2008. In this role, she works closely with the Group’s high net worth clients as well as administrative departments within the firm to help facilitate client service, trade settlement, account maintenance, and marketing. In addition to being a Portfolio Associate, Tara is the Banking and Lending Coach for her Complex.

Tara graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications from Pennsylvania State University where she studied Broadcast Journalism and Human Development and Family Studies. She currently resides in Manhattan with her fiancé and their dog, Shiah. In her spare time she loves spending time with her family, traveling, skiing, painting, photography and reading.
