About Hollis N Gieger Jr.
“While practicing as a CPA, I helped entrepreneurs develop and sell very successful businesses, but many of them failed to be as diligent in managing their wealth beyond the sale. I transitioned to financial services as I saw a need to help entrepreneurs effectively plan and manage the financial resources that they created through their hard work and creativity.”
As a Certified Financial Planner™ (CFP®) with more than 40 years of experience advising high net worth families, Hollis is focused on building customized financial solutions that address each client’s specific circumstances. His background as a practicing CPA (retired) prior to entering the wealth management business provided him with broad tax and estate planning knowledge to guide his planning advice. Hollis is also an Alternative Investments Director at Morgan Stanley, a designation reserved only for those individuals who have been identified with the firm as having the experience in a particular field.
His focus on serving clients has earned him a spot on Forbes' first-ever list of America's Top Wealth Advisors, distinguishing him as one of Alabama's top-performing advisors in 2018-2023.
Hollis completed a B.S. in Commerce and Business Administration with a major in Accounting from the University of Alabama graduating with honors. While at Alabama, he also played on the university’s golf team.
Hollis is involved in many local civic and business organizations, and currently serves on the President’s Cabinet at the University of Alabama. Hollis has been married to his wife Karla for more than 30 years and they have two grown children. In his free time, Hollis enjoys playing golf and traveling with family.
