My Story and Services

With 24 years of experience in the financial industry, Derrick has built his business by developing deep relationships with his clients and their families. He focuses on understanding each client’s individual needs and desires, and designs investment strategies to help achieve their goals. Derrick’s approach is centered around the understanding that the old ways of cookie cutter asset allocation plans don’t necessarily meet everyone’s unique needs.

Derrick is surrounded by an experienced team that provides clients a concierge level of service. This enables him to help clients by thoughtfully planning around their needs and wants for the future. The team takes pride in embodying a culture that really embraces the human aspect of the financial advising business.

Derrick graduated from the University of California, San Diego with a dual BA in Economics and Political Science. He is married and has three children who are all active in academics and sports. Outside of work you can find Derrick coaching his children on the soccer and baseball fields or staying active by playing golf and tennis. He is also a longtime member of Mariners Church and a frequent donor to organizations such as working wardrobes.

About Stephanie Tchong

With 20+ years of experience in the financial industry, Stephanie has gained valuable knowledge working in various capacities spanning asset management, private banking and institutional advising. Throughout her career, Stephanie has seen firsthand how powerful good financial guidance can be and how overwhelming things can get without it. Stephanie’s approach to wealth management is centered around providing support and knowledge for clients, ultimately empowering them to make financial decisions with confidence.

Having grown up in Hong Kong and now living in the United States, Stephanie brings a global perspective to financial planning that values both long-term discipline and adaptability. Stephanie is fluent in Cantonese, Mandarin and English and works with clients from a variety of backgrounds. She takes pride in her ability to simplify complex financial language and communicate it to clients in ways that make sense to them. Stephanie, above all, is driven by truly making a difference in the lives of those she supports by prioritizing client relationships over transactions. Stephanie also holds the Certified Financial Analyst (CFA®) designation.

Stephanie graduated from the University of Michigan where she studied Business Administration with a concentration in Finance and Accounting. Outside of work, Stephanie loves to travel and has been to 20 different countries. On the weekends she can be found on the baseball fields watching her two sons who both play travel baseball. She is also a big sports fan and follows the Michigan Wolverine’s football and basketball programs as well as the LA Rams. Stephanie and her husband are supporters of the Boys and Girls Clubs of Central Orange Coast by donating and participating in charity events every year.
