My Story and Services

Cynthia has over 30 years of experience in financial services. She is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional and holds the Certified Investment Management Analyst designation, awarded by the renowned Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania. Cynthia earned her BS in Economics from Arizona State University. Born and raised in Hawaii, Cynthia graduated from Punahou School.

Cynthia began her financial career at E.F. Hutton Brokerage Firm in Palo Alto, California. In 1991, she returned home to Hawaii, joining First Hawaiian Bank as a trust officer. Cynthia earned her certificate in Personal Trust Services, which led to her serving as Director of Philanthropy for the Hawaii Community Foundation. Cynthia worked with high net worth individuals on creative giving strategies as well as establishing foundations and endowments. In 2001, Cynthia joined Morgan Stanley Smith Barney as Vice President in Wealth Management from 2001-2011, before transitioning to Wells Fargo, where she spent ten years as a Senior Vice President. Now Cynthia has returned to the Morgan Stanley fold as a Senior Vice President and Family Wealth Director.

Cynthia lives in Nuuanu, with her husband, Richard, a Punahou School classmate and Real Estate Executive, and their two children.
