About Derrick A Sullivan

Derrick has 25 years of experience with Morgan Stanley in the Financial Services industry. Derrick focuses on portfolio construction, risk management, and asset allocation.

When Derrick was younger, he was an active reader of the Wall Street Journal at his local public library. He developed a passion for financial markets, and knew that one day he would work in the Investment Industry.

Derrick views himself as more than just a Financial Advisor, he considers himself the CFO of each and every family he works with. It is imperative that Derrick takes a thorough and comprehensive approach to providing advice to all clients. He firmly believes that the stock market represents the foundation of the American dream, and that ownership in great companies in combination with his guidance, will help clients achieve their goals.

Derrick Holds a Bachelor of Arts from Shippensburg University, and has also received an MBA from the Citadel. Derrick has earned the Chartered Financial Analyst designation, and is a member of the CFA Institute and the South Carolina CFA Society. Derrick’s achievements include being listed on Barron’s Top 1200 U.S. Financial Advisors (2014, 2015) and the Financial Times Top 400 Financial Advisors (2015, 2016).

About Thomas S Clarke

Thomas has 17 years of experience with Morgan Stanley in the Financial Services industry. Thomas’ main focus is leading the financial planning practice on the team.

Thomas moved to Charleston shortly after graduating college, and soon began working as an assistant to one of the largest financial advisor teams in the Carolinas. He attributes the success in his career to the early opportunity to learn from the very smart, successful individuals that he worked closely with. Thomas has always enjoyed working with numbers and solving problems, and now is able to carry out this practice on a daily basis. His favorite part of the business is encountering problems that require outside of the box thinking, and coming up with creative solutions.

Thomas holds a B.S. in Psychology from Centre College in Kentucky, and has also received an MBA from The Citadel in South Carolina. Thomas has the Certified Financial Planner certification, and is also Life, Accident, and Long Term Care Insurance certified.

Outside of the office, Thomas can be found spending as much time as possible with his family.

About Paige V Statton

As a dedicated employee to the business, Paige helps run client services. She is responsible for welcoming new clients and making sure that current clients are taking full advantage of all that our team has to offer. Her commitment to the business lead to her receiving the Morgan Stanley Smith Barney Service Excellence Award in 2012. She is FINRA Series 7 (General Securities Representative) and a FINRA Series 66 (Uniformed Combine State Law) licensed.

Paige is a graduate of College of Charleston's School of Business, with a B.S. in Business Administration. She resides in Mount Pleasant, SC, with her recently married husband, Tyler and their king charles cavalier. In her free time, Paige enjoys taking advantage of the local beaches and the great outdoors that Charleston has to offer.  

About Alex J Shields

As a Registered Client Service Associate, Alex is dedicated to helping clients reach their financial goals. This is something he is passionate about, and he works with each client to ensure that they have the foundation needed to establish a successful path towards their goals. Alex also helps to educate clients on the resources and tools that Morgan Stanley has to offer.

Alex is a graduate of Ole Miss, where he studied Managerial Finance. He joined Morgan Stanley in January of 2022, also obtaining his Series 7 and Series 66 licenses. Continued education is something that Alex is passionate about.

Having recently moved to Charleston from Florida, Alex enjoys spending time outside. He is involved with the Challenger Baseball League – a little league team that focuses on connecting special needs children to the game of baseball. He can often be found on the golf course, maintaining a single digit handicap. Alex is an avid traveler and hopes to continue to see many parts of the world in the future.

About Jared M. Bush

Jared Bush is a Private Banker serving Morgan Stanley Wealth Management offices in the Carolinas.

Private Bankers partner with Financial Advisors to develop a specialized approach for managing clients’ cash flow, liquidity and financing needs, leveraging our comprehensive suite of cash management and lending solutions.

Jared began his career in financial services in 2004, and joined Morgan Stanley in 2016. Prior to joining the firm, he was a Wealth Management Banker at Merrill Lynch. He also served as a Premier Client Manager at Bank of America and as a Licensed Financial Specialist at Wells Fargo.

Jared is a graduate of Slippery Rock University, where he received a Bachelor of Science in Sports Management. He lives in Charlotte, North Carolina with his family. Outside of the office, Jared enjoys playing golf, listening to music, and spending time with family and friends.
