Our Story and Services

At Corestone Haven Group, we believe wealth management works best when it's personal, disciplined, and built for the long term. Every financial decision affects the next, and effective planning starts with understanding the people behind the plan.

Our team brings decades of experience guiding individuals, families, and business leaders through complex financial decisions, market uncertainty, and life transitions, with clarity and purpose.

Experience Through Market Cycles

With more than 30 years in the industry, Dan Shannon has helped clients navigate some of the most challenging market environments in recent history. That experience informs a thoughtful, goals-based approach focused on holistic financial planning, disciplined in-vestment strategy, asset preservation, and retirement and estate planning.

Dan believes the strongest financial strategies are built on strong personal relationships. By taking the time to understand each client's priorities and values, he helps deliver guidance that is both practical and deeply relevant.

Perspective Built from Real Life

Pat Kamfolt brings a perspective shaped by both wealth management and entrepreneurship. Before entering the financial services industry, he ran his own business, gaining firsthand insight into the financial complexities families and executives face as their lives and responsibilities evolve.

Since joining Morgan Stanley in 2015, Pat has focused on helping high-net-worth families and business leaders create financial plans that are resilient, adaptable, and aligned with long-term goals, whether planning for retirement, managing generational wealth, or navigating major life transitions.

A Purpose-Driven Partnership

Together, our team combines experience, perspective, and disciplined planning to help clients move forward with confidence. We believe wealth management isn't about short-term reactions, it's about building strategies that evolve alongside your life.

At Corestone Haven Group, our purpose is simple: to provide thoughtful guidance, lasting relationships, and financial clarity, so you can focus on what matters most.

The Corestone Haven Financial Planning Process

We provide comprehensive financial planning and wealth management for individuals, families, executives, and business owners. Our goals-based wealth planning process is designed to coordinate your assets and liabilities, manage investment risk, and support confident decision-making across every life stage, whether you are building wealth, planning for retirement, preparing for a liquidity event, or navigating a major transition.

    Discovery

We start with a structured discovery process to understand what matters most to your family priorities, lifestyle goals, and long-term objectives. We review your balance sheet (assets and liabilities), cash flow, insurance coverage, existing investments, business interests, and key risk exposures to help define an appropriate risk tolerance and establish a clear planning baseline.

    Icon Image
Formulation of Tax, Trust and Estate Strategy

In coordination with your CPA and estate planning attorney, we evaluate your current tax picture and legacy goals to identify opportunities for tax planning, trust planning, and estate planning. This may include reviewing income and capital gains considerations, charitable giving strategies, and wealth transfer approaches designed to align with your family's priorities.

    Icon Image
Creation of Customized Strategic Asset Allocation

We build a long-term strategic asset allocation designed to reflect your goals, time horizon, liquidity needs, and tax situation. Your portfolio strategy is developed with attention to diversification, risk management, and after-tax outcomes, and may incorporate household-level planning across multiple accounts and entities while integrating investing and estate objectives.

    Icon Image
    Integration of Tactical Asset Allocation

If appropriate, we may implement disciplined, short-term portfolio adjustments intended to respond to changing market conditions or temporary dislocations. Before making changes, we evaluate the potential impact of taxes, trading costs, and risk exposure to help ensure adjustments are purposeful and aligned with your long-term plan.

Implementation of a Customized Wealth Strategy

We implement your plan using a tailored set of solutions from a broad investment platform, supported by thorough due diligence and scenario-based analysis. The goal is to translate your plan into an actionable investment strategy that supports retirement readiness, liquidity needs, and long-term wealth objectives—while maintaining clear accountability and transparency.

    Ongoing Assessment

We provide ongoing monitoring, reporting, and regular review meetings to help keep your strategy aligned as markets evolve and your life changes. 11Investing in the market entails the risk of market volatility. The value of all types of investments may increase or decrease over varying time periods. The returns on a portfolio consisting primarily of sustainable or impact investments may be lower or higher than a portfolio that is more diversified or where decisions are based solely on investment considerations. Because sustainability and impact criteria exclude some investments, investors may not be able to take advantage of the same opportunities or market trends as investors that do not use such criteria. Diversification does not guarantee a profit or protect against loss in a declining financial market.
