About Daniel Finn

Daniel Finn is an Executive Director, Wealth Advisor, and a Family Wealth Director with the Insignia Group at Morgan Stanley in Wellesley, Massachusetts. As co-founder of the Insignia Group, Dan brings more than 25 years of wealth management experience to serve an exclusive group of high-net-worth families, business owners and foundations.

Dan understands the myriad of complexities associated with substantial wealth and the importance of leveraging the global capabilities and vast resources of Morgan Stanley to help clients achieve their long-term goals. He is a passionate advocate for his clients and is committed to remain at the forefront of the wealth management field to better serve them. Dan is a Certified Financial Planner®, a designation he has held since 2002, and has earned Morgan Stanley’s Family Wealth Director title, which is awarded to a select few of the firm’s senior consultants who have successfully completed advanced studies and consistently demonstrated in-depth knowledge in this highly specialized area.

Throughout his career, Dan has received numerous honors for his work. The Financial Times recognized him as one the top 400 Financial Advisors in the United States in 2015 and 2016. Forbes has named him one of the top Financial Advisors in Massachusetts every year since 2018. Additionally, Dan serves as the Co-Chair on the Advisory Board of Morgan Stanley’s Consulting Group. In addition, he chairs the Committee on Global Investment Office and Product Development and advises on a business line that manages over $2.0 trillion in client assets across the firm.

Dan is invested in his community of Natick, MA and is actively involved with several non-profit organizations. When not in the office or volunteering, Dan enjoys cooking, skiing and traveling with his wife Dana and their three children.

About Julie Winston

Julie Winston is a Senior Vice President, Financial Advisor and Certified Financial Planner® with the Insignia Group at Morgan Stanley in Wellesley, Massachusetts. She also holds the Certified Divorce Financial Analyst designation, reflecting her extensive understanding of the often-complex financial situations concerning separation and divorce. Julie co-founded the Insignia Group with colleague Daniel Finn in January 2012. She has nearly two decades of experience in financial services and has established a stellar reputation for creating holistic financial plans for high-net-worth families, business owners and divorcees.

While service is important to every financial advisor, it holds a special meaning to Julie. In the process of blazing her successful path in the business world, Julie had an equally rewarding 22-year career in the U.S. military, underscoring her steadfast devotion to her country. Julie last served in the Massachusetts Army National Guard as a Lieutenant Colonel, retiring in 2017. Throughout her military career, Julie served in a number of leadership roles including company commander, battalion executive officer, battalion commander and finished her career as a brigade operations officer for the 151 RSG. Earlier in her military career, she served as the Executive Officer for the 726th Finance Battalion in Afghanistan. During her tour of duty, Julie worked with the Central Bank of Afghanistan to help stabilize the Afghani currency, streamlined how the U.S. military worked with local vendors and contractors and liaised between the Afghan banking association, the U.S. military and Da Afghanistan Bank. She was awarded the Bronze Star Medal for her exceptional leadership and accomplishments toward the strategic mission in theater.

In her work with the Insignia Group, Julie applies the same commitment and courage as she did in the military. Julie works closely with clients to help navigate the market and economic environment in pursuit of their unique financial goals. Julie holds a BBA from the University of Massachusetts Amherst and a Masters degree in Financial Planning from Bentley University, reflecting her deep commitment to providing prudent and thorough guidance in all areas of financial planning. In addition to being a good communicator and listener, she is well-organized, highly adept at building collaborative relationships, and prides herself on continuously updating her financial knowledgebase to provide thoughtful solutions.

When she isn’t serving her clients, Julie enjoys hiking, skiing, gardening and spending time with her family. She also volunteers with her daughter’s Girl Scout troop and currently serves on her town’s Finance Committee. Julie lives in Holliston with her two children, Olivia and Sean.

About Janet McCormick

Janet joined Morgan Stanley in 2018 after 27 years at Fidelity Investments, including many years as a Portfolio Manager of $13 billion in multi-asset portfolios.
