Workplace Advisor - Equity Compensation
As an Executive Director with Core Purpose Wealth Management at Morgan Stanley, I focus on helping individuals, families, and business leaders clarify what matters most, create a comprehensive plan, and help make informed decisions through changing markets and life transitions.
For more than two decades, my work has centered on building long-term client relationships and striving to deliver a highly personalized wealth management experience - aligning investment strategy, planning, and day-to-day financial decisions with each client’s goals and values.
EXPERIENCE AND RECOGNITION
I have earned advanced credentials and designations and have received national and regional recognition within the wealth management industry. I am also a member of Morgan Stanley’s Masters Club, which recognizes a select group of top-performing financial advisors.
I’ve been named to the Forbes | SHOOK Best-In-State Wealth Advisors list in 2021, 2022, 2023, and 2025, and I am honored to be recognized again in 2026.
Our team has been an early adopter of Exchange Traded Funds (ETFs) in portfolio construction. Core Purpose Wealth Management (formerly Chudom Hayes Wealth Management Group) has received national recognition by multiple publications.
ROLE ON THE TEAM
Within Core Purpose Wealth Management, I focus on developing and strengthening client relationships, contributing to investment policy decisions, and helping lead our 19-member team. As a Senior Portfolio Management Director and member of the Core Purpose Wealth Management Investment Policy Committee, I collaborate on the design and ongoing review of the investment models we employ with the goal of aligning portfolios with each client’s objectives.
VALUES-BASED PLANNING AND INVESTING
Conscious Investing and Impact Investing are important areas of interest for me. I enjoy working with clients who want their capital to reflect their priorities - building strategies that connect wealth to purpose in a thoughtful, disciplined way.
CREDENTIALS AND ADVANCED TRAINING
In 2017, I completed an accredited program focused on helping families communicate about money and values, share goals, and build multi-generational strategies - earning the Family Wealth Advisor designation. In 2019, I added the Workplace Advisor – Equity Compensation credential, reflecting my focus on helping executives and professionals integrate equity compensation and benefits into a broader goals-based plan.
BACKGROUND
Raised in the Chicago suburbs, I became interested in the financial markets as a teenager after reading annual reports from the telephone companies where my father worked. I entered the financial services industry in 1996 after earning a Bachelor of Science degree, and I joined Morgan Stanley in 2000.
OUTSIDE THE OFFICE
My wife, Jennifer, our daughter, Emma, and I enjoy spending time outdoors—camping and traveling to wilderness destinations whenever we can. Jennifer is a teacher and musician, and Emma is an accomplished equestrian. I have been flying since earning my pilot’s license as a teenager and am working on building an airplane. I also served for many years on the board of the Illinois Aviation Museum at Bolingbrook.

Neither Morgan Stanley Smith Barney LLC nor its Financial Advisors or Private Wealth Advisors paid a fee to SHOOK Research LLC for placement on its rankings.
