About Alejandro Mendoza Velasco

Alejandro Mendoza has been in financial services for nearly 20 years. Since the day he stepped foot in a wealth management office, he knew financial advising was the path for him. While studying economics at Carleton College, Alex found himself gravitating towards the psychological and behavioral aspects of finance. These are now a cornerstone of his investment approach and client relationships. He empowers clients to make decisions by simplifying complexities and helps them navigate from economic to personal challenges with clarity.

His service model extends beyond managing your money; Alex focuses on determining and achieving your dreams and ideal legacy. He stewards global clients and business owners through sophisticated transnational matters and educates curious clients on relevant financial topics.

Outside of his dedication to financial advising, Alex is a devoted husband and father to his wife Elizabeth and three amazing children: Alejandro Gael (12), Talia (7), and Layla (2). They live in San Diego, where Alex stays active in the community through the Exit Planning Institute for business owners. To this day, he still makes time for the lifelong hobbies of chess and martial arts that he developed growing up in Mexico City and gets his children involved in them with him whenever he can. One day, he may get them involved in his love of motorsports and sailing as well.

About Steven Douek

Steven Douek has been advising High-Net-Worth families and business owners around the globe for over 20 years. He and his multigenerational team offer personalized strategies to unique situations based on clients’ needs. He built the practice on the values of hard work, discipline, and accessibility to deliver tailored advice and develop client relationships rooted in mutual trust. It is this trust that keeps him motivated and growth-oriented. As the business has grown, so has Steven’s network of resources that he can offer to elevate the client experience.

Steven works tirelessly to deliver elite service, whether he is the bearer or the liaison, which has contributed to his success. Since arriving at Morgan Stanley in 2016, Steven has earned additional recognition as member of both the International Client Advisor Council and Morgan Stanley’s President’s Club. He credits these achievements to his valued clients and uses the resources they offer to elevate client service even further.

Steven grew up as a stellar student in Mexico City and has stayed true to his roots ever since. His intellectual curiosities have expanded from Economics at Universidad Iberoamericana to innovative new investment strategies that can offer increased value for clients. His circles have certainly expanded as well, but he maintains a consistent international focus in his business.

About Ada Frausto

Ada leads the team in all things account management. She aims to provide seamless and efficient solutions to meet diverse client needs, from onboarding to banking to daily transactions. Ada joined the team during a tumultuous time for our markets, July 2008, and has proved herself invaluable.

Prior to her work with us, Ada worked in telecommunications for 12 years and earned her BSBA from CETYS Universidad in Tijuana. She moved to San Diego in 2007 where she and her husband still live today with two young adult sons. They enjoy attending concerts and cheering on the San Diego Padres. When she has time to herself, Ada loves to run, and participates in running events on both sides of the border.

About Isaac Morales-Osuna

Isaac has been a Registered Associate on our team since June of 2022. He assists with new account openings, alternative investments, and lending solutions. Isaac began his career in finance back in 2009, so he has seen firsthand how turbulent the markets can be. He was drawn to the industry due to its fast-paced and dynamic nature, with the goal of keeping clients on track to achieve their goals through the markets’ ups and downs.

Outside of the office, Isaac has joyful, albeit uniquely busy, life at home with his wife and their quadruplets. Family is a consistent priority for him, as is spending time in nature. Camping and golfing are Isaac’s most recent hobbies, but he is always exploring other ways to get outdoors.

About Emilia Rivera

Emilia has been in the financial services industry for nearly a decade but is the newest member to join our team. Prior to joining Morgan Stanley in 2023, she serviced high net worth clients’ banking needs at Wells Fargo. In this role, she mastered delivering exceptional service to clients and even anticipating their needs at times. As our CSA, she has elevated this skillset even further and implements it across operations, onboarding, and even business development.

Outside of work, Emilia enjoys reading, gardening, and spending time with family. She and her husband are the proud parents of two young children, Juliana (7) and Matteo (4).

About Luis Camou

Luis Camou is the team’s point person on investment analysis and financial planning. He assesses opportunities and strategies as they relate to the market and individual client needs. He has been with the firm since March 2021 and joined our team about a year after that. Prior to Morgan Stanley, Luis studied finance at Monterrey Institute of Technology and Higher Education and worked in financial services at Actinver.

From Monterrey to San Antonio to, now, San Diego, Luis has pursued finance all along. He understands the positive impact that well-managed finances can have on people’s lives, especially in the face of an everchanging market. An intellectually curious person, Luis enjoys the persistent innovation and evolving trends that remain a pillar in our industry. There is always more to learn and explore.

About Octavio Tudela

Octavio works with our clients to get them on board and implement on money movement decisions. He joined forces with Alex in February of 2023 after three years of portfolio modeling and planning for an independent RIA in San Diego.

Octavio has been in the area all his life, developing passions for surfing and tennis, like many natives, and studying at San Diego State. There, he earned a degree in business administration, with a concentration in finance. This course of action was informed by his longtime fascination with the markets and desire to help others achieve their goals. His role at The Centaur San Diego Group has allowed him to explore these interests further, while developing meaningful relationships with clients. Outside of work, he spends time with friends, family, and, most importantly, his dog, Kane.

Russ Gallen is a Private Banker serving Morgan Stanley Wealth Management offices in California.

Russ began his career in financial services in 2001, and joined Morgan Stanley in 2018 as a Private Banker. Prior to joining the firm, he was a Wealth Management Banker at Merrill Lynch.

Russ is a graduate of Arizona State University, where he received a Bachelor of Science in Finance. He lives in Carlsbad, California with his wife, Chelsea. Outside of the office, Russ enjoys golf, tennis and traveling.
