Carolyn Simon is a Senior Vice President and Financial Advisor in the Paramus, New Jersey office of Morgan Stanley. Carolyn draws from her experience as a trained portfolio manager to offer sophisticated wealth management guidance for affluent individuals, corporate executives, business owners and members of the real estate community. She is focused on helping clients transform their success into sustainable legacies.
Carolyn takes a holistic approach to work with each individual across the breadth of their needs, including lending, investment management, planning, fiduciary services and more. She taps the specialized resources of Morgan Stanley and surrounds her clients with a team of experienced professionals to help customize strategies for their unique situations. For business owners considering the sale of an enterprise, Carolyn integrates personal and professional planning goals to enhance exit strategies and mitigate tax impacts. She is especially interested in helping clients through the intricacies of sudden liquidity, inheritance, divorce or other life-changing events.
With a career that literally began on Wall Street, Carolyn has spent 25 years working at firms such as Fiduciary Trust Company, U.S. Trust and Citibank. Her well-rounded background includes equity strategies, modern portfolio theory, sector diversification and institutional-caliber guidance. Most recently, Carolyn was with J.P. Morgan Private Bank, focused on integrated wealth management including banking, lending, estate planning and insurance. She joined Morgan Stanley for the opportunity to personally manage clients' investments as part of a comprehensive and personalized offering.
Carolyn attended George Washington University, earning a B.A. in International Affairs. She holds a M.B.A. in Finance from the Stern School of Business at New York University.
Passionate about giving back to her community, Carolyn has spearheaded financial literacy programs for women. She is a former board member of the Newark Arts Council and the Susan G. Komen Foundation.
Carolyn is a longtime resident of New Jersey, where she lives with her two children and two dogs. She loves interior design, Pilates and yoga.
