My Story and Services

Brad Sherman, Financial Planning Specialist and a Financial Advisor with The Pangaea Group at Morgan Stanley, is as dynamic as the clients he serves. Before joining Morgan Stanley in 2021, Brad spent over two decades as a Marine Corps officer, where he retired as a Lieutenant Colonel. A decorated military pilot with a brief stint in the Airline Industry, he decided to follow his passion for financial management and departed the airline world to land on one of the premiere teams in San Diego. His military service instilled in him a deep foundation of trust, integrity, and disciplined decision making – principles that guide him as he helps clients navigate complex financial decisions.

A Wealth Management Analyst since 2021, Brad has distinguished himself by leading with innovative strategies to complex and sophisticated client situations. His collaborative nature and sense of team shines through, especially when combined with other respective supporting elements (Tax professionals or Estate planners) as may be required. Clients value his ability to identify with the emotions that come from greater wealth, but also appreciate his methodical and transparent approach.

Brad earned his degree in Financial Management from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo, and later completed his MBA at the Naval Postgraduate School in Monterey, California, specializing in Acquisitions and Contracting. He holds Series 7 and 66 securities registrations.

When he’s not helping clients improve their financial lives, Brad spends his free time growing a small family vineyard and enjoying time with family and friends while staying active outdoors. In addition to traveling and attending live sporting events, he is a member of the San Marcos Chamber, and continuously involved in local community events. A native of Huntington Beach, he now resides in San Marcos, CA with his wife, Earlene, and their two children, Kaylee and Nick.

Our Goal-Based Process

Our process focuses on you and your legacy. Through each step, we provide objective advice and investment insights to construct a wealth management plan that is uniquely yours.

    Icon Image
    1: Introduction

We begin with an informal discussion to understand your financial concerns and determine how we can add value. If we all agree to move forward, we'll schedule our next meeting and request important financial information.

    Icon Image
    2: Discovery

We continue the dialogue by fostering an in-depth conversation where we learn about the values that shape your decisions and identify any unique circumstances. We also review the documents you've prepared and define your priorities.

    Icon Image
    3: Analysis & Plan Development

Utilizing proprietary tools and insights from Morgan Stanley, we develop a personalized financial plan that integrates all of your available assets into one integrated plan.

    Icon Image
    4: Asset Transfer

With your approval, we begin to transfer your assets to Morgan Stanley. Once transferred, we begin our goals-based financial planning process.

    Icon Image
    5: Plan Presentation & Implementation

In this step, we present appropriate strategies that are designed to work together to help achieve your goals. Upon your approval, we will initiate the investment recommendations and begin to implement the additional strategies we've discussed. These often encompass risk management, as well as estate and legacy planning strategies.

    6: Ongoing Service

Committed to premium service, we focus on developing a relationship that provides special value to you and your family. As we begin to execute each strategy, we will set up tools so you have immediate access to your account information. And because markets and personal needs evolve over time, we set up ongoing meetings to ensure your plan remains on schedule to achieve your goals.
