André Turman is an experienced and knowledgeable financial advisor who works with a broad range of clients to address their complex financial needs. Since entering the financial services industry in 2002 he has served in various compacities and has immersed himself in the day-to-day planning process to help families, small business owners, executives and other professionals build and manage wealth for the life they envision and for generations to come.
A thoughtful listener, André takes the time to educate clients and facilitate discussions to develop an in-depth understanding of their business and personal objectives. His inspiration is in helping people to articulate their priorities, make well-informed financial decisions, and develop confidence around achieving their desired outcomes. He believes everyone can have a financial plan and with that, financial confidence.
In his role as a Financial Advisor, André is a Qualified Plan Financial Consultant (QPFC). A firm believer in continuing education, André has completed a variety of course work, including the University of Southern California (USC) School of Gerontology Longevity Training Program, the Certified Special Needs Advisor Program at his previous firm Bank of America Merrill Lynch, and has earned the Certified 401(k) Professional (C(k)P®) designation, which is offered by the Retirement Advisor University Inc. in collaboration with the UCLA Anderson School of Management Executive Education. He is a strong advocate for building strong financial habits through financial wellness programs in conjunction with Workplace Solutions and Employer Retirement Benefits, his volunteerism efforts conducting workshops in collaboration with local non-profits, and as a Professional Development Facilitator/Mentor for the Albany Medical College Science and Technology Entry Program (STEP). Additionally, he is a member of several professional organizations, including the National Association of Plan Advisors.
In service to his community, André is a Board member of Fathers Incorporated and the Regional Food Bank of Northeastern NY, and has sat on the board of other nonprofits, including the Greater Capital Region Autism Society and the Upstate New York Black Chamber of Commerce. He and his wife, Dr. Stacy Dobbs, reside in Saratoga County and are proud parents of three adult daughters. He enjoys boating, dancing, playing chess and traveling.
