Our investment process starts with having a strong understanding of economics and we are well versed in the equity and fixed income markets. Carefully crafting each portfolio, we emphasize diversification, tax efficiency, risk mitigation, capital preservation and long-term growth. This results in making appropriate asset allocation decisions for each client. Our Portfolio Managers then use technical and analytical experience to conduct the research and due diligence for every specific recommendation we make.

Technical analysis is the study of past price and volume trends of a security in an attempt to predict the security's future price and volume trends. Its limitations include but are not limited to: the lack of fundamental analysis of a security's financial condition, lack of analysis of macroeconomic trend forecasts, the bias of the technician's view and the possibility that past participants were not entirely rational in their past purchases or sales of the security being analyzed. Investors using technical analysis should consider these limitations prior to making an investment decision.

About Eric Schlipf
Eric Schlipf is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER ™ and a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA®)charterholder based out of Peoria, Illinois. He graduated with high honors from the University of Illinois, Champaign-Urbana with a Bachelor of Science in Finance, as well as with honors from the University of Chicago, where he earned his MBA.
He has spent nearly two decades in the investment industry, first starting out as a member of a 13-person investment team that managed over $50 billion for State Farm Insurance. He then worked as an Equity Research Analyst at a regional investment banking firm where he advised a multitude of institutional clients from all over the world. In 2007, he began working at Morgan Stanley, where he has successfully reached his professional goal of working directly with individual clients.
Eric currently resides in Central Illinois with his wife, Chris, and their children, Blake and Layne. In his free time, he enjoys coaching baseball, golfing, and spending time on his family’s farm.

Carolyn currently lives in Evergreen, Colorado, but is a native of Peoria, Illinois, where she was extremely active in the local community. About Zack Weaver
Zack Weaver is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER ™ practitioner who was first introduced to investing at the age of twelve with money that he had saved up from mowing lawns, which served as the springboard for his professional career, where he has focused on helping design and create customized investment strategies for his clients' portfolios for the past 19 years.
A graduate of the University of Illinois, he began his career as an equity investment analyst for State Farm Insurance, where he managed over $50 billion in assets. His areas of focus included the analysis of financial services companies and researching tactical investment opportunities. In 2003, he relocated to his hometown of Peoria, Illinois, where he worked at A.G. Edwards and Sons until coming to Morgan Stanley in 2007.
Zack became a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA®) in 2004, a widely regarded designation in the global financial industry, certifying a broad range of current investment knowledge, analytical skill, and ethical and professional standards.

About Sarah Freeman
Sarah Freeman joined the Cornerstone Capital Group in 2021 having been with Morgan Stanley since 2004. Sarah has served as a Client Service Associate, Operations Associate, and a Consulting Group Analyst. She excels by focusing on client experience and striving to build relationships with each and every client she serves. Her extensive industry experience allows her to give all clients service that is tailored to their individual needs. Sarah also holds both her Series 7 and Series 66 licenses.
Sarah currently resides in Canton, Illinois with her husband Brent and two children, Jordan and Elisabeth, as well as her beloved dog Dexter. She is an active member of her local community, where she is very involved in her children’s sports teams. Meggie Pretorius has worked in the financial services industry since 2012. She has spent the entire time in client service, primarily with Morgan Stanley. Meggie believes that she succeeds because she treats every client as an individual with their own specialized needs. She also prides herself on staying educated on regulatory changes as well as any new firm initiatives meant to enhance the experience of the Morgan Stanley client.
Meggie has two bachelor’s degrees, one from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (English) and the other from OSF St. Francis Medical Center College of Nursing (Nursing).
