Winson Xie

Why I am a financial advisor:

I made the decision to build my career in the financial services industry in 2008 during financial crisis. Watching the stories of individuals and families who suffered severe financial losses due to a lack of risk awareness and limited knowledge of financial and investment principles made a lasting impact on me. I realized then that helping others secure their financial futures was not only a lifelong career, but also my life's purpose.

Throughout this journey, I have truly enjoyed my work, especially the opportunity to build trusted relationships with remarkable individuals and families. It's incredibly rewarding to support my clients as they achieve financial goals and pursue their dreams.

Philosophy:

My philosophy is rooted in helping you achieve your financial goals. I believe that true financial success is measured by accomplishing your objectives, rather than solely focusing on market returns. Through comprehensive planning and disciplined strategies, I aim to keep you on track, regardless of market fluctuations.

Background:

I was born in China and imigrated to the US in my 20s. Being fluent in Chinese-Mandarin and possessing extensive knowledge about Asian cultures and family dynamics, I understand the specific financial needs and challenges that individuals and families from this region face. My personal life revolves around reading, travelling, and cherishing time with my family.

• Liquidity Access
When managing your wealth, it’s important to have access to liquidity to allow you the financial flexibility to act quickly when opportunities or needs arise. Using your cash reserves may cause you to miss investment opportunities. Selling assets can disrupt your investment strategy and may have potential tax consequences. There is a third option to consider—borrowing against your eligible securities using Liquidity Access Line, which may allow you to keep your current investment strategy intact.
• Retirement Income
Thanks to medical advancements and public health improvements, our life expectancy has significantly extended. However, under the environment of the increased longevity and current low-interest rate, for most families Social Security income is not enough, and generating sufficient income from portfolio becomes more challenging than ever before, especially for retirees. That is why Annuities have played an important role that provide lifetime income in retirement life.
Annuity basic concepts
• Education Funding
With both the benefits and costs of a good education growing sharply, the biggest distinction is between those who plan ahead and those who do not. There is a significant cost to not planning. The combination of tax-free growth and withdrawal potential, flexible provisions, accelerated gifting advantages, estate tax benefits, attractive continuous control features, and versatility to address any circumstances as they arise make the Morgan Stanley National Advisory 529 Plan an education investment vehicle of choice.

• Charitable Giving Strategy
Charitable giving is among the highest of human aspirations, woven into the fabric of organizations, countries and societies around the world. While many individuals and families have a deep commitment to philanthropy, charitable giving is not limited to those with significant wealth.
