About Stephen Romano
Stephen Romano is an Executive Director and Private Wealth Advisor with Morgan Stanley Private Wealth Management. Drawing on four decades of institutional investing and wealth planning experience, Stephen and his team develop customized wealth management solutions for family offices, public-company executives and private business owners, as well as foundations and endowments.
Prior to Morgan Stanley, Steve spent a decade with the J.P. Morgan Private Bank in Seattle, where he partnered with Tim Henderson to run the ultra-high net worth investment practice. Steve began his career in 1981 in commercial banking with Manufacturers Hanover Trust Company in New York, followed by institutional fixed income sales with Salomon Brothers. He returned to Seattle in 1990 to join Sirach Capital Management as a Principal and Portfolio Manager. In 2004, he became Chief Investment Officer of a large private foundation before moving into private wealth management.
Steve attended Lakeside School in Seattle and earned a B.A. in economics from Boston College in 1981. He is a CFA Charterholder as well as a member of the CFA Institute and the CFA Society of Seattle. In his downtime, Steve enjoys competitive tennis and skiing with his wife, Juliet, and their three grown children.
