About Will Hunt

Will graduated from the University of Louisiana Monroe with a B.A. in Psychology in 1994.  He joined Morgan Stanley in 2001 after working in the insurance industry.

The Walnut Street Group at Morgan Stanley prides itself on its investment process beginning with an exploration of an individual or entity’s cash flow needs and return expectations to help create a tailored investment strategy. The team enjoys working in conjunction with a client’s other trusted advisors such as attorneys and CPAs.  

Will is a proud husband to his wife Terra and devoted father to his four children. He gives back to his community by coaching swimming to various age groups within the Chattanooga area. Will enjoys spending time with family and friends and doing just about anything active.

A native of Winchester, Tennessee, Bruce moved to Chattanooga in 1998 as a student at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga where he earned a B.S. in Business Administration with a concentration in Finance. About Laura Knight

Laura Knight is a Financial Advisor, CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNERTM. Laura holds a B.A. in Business Administration and Economics with concentrations in Marketing, Management and International Business from King University. She came to Morgan Stanley in 2011 to join Marc Williams (now retired) and Will Hunt. In 2012 her former coworker, Tom Chamberlain (now deceased), came to Morgan Stanley to join her in helping clients simplify their financial lives and achieve their goals.

She began her financial services career in 2004. Her previous experience includes Assistant Operations Manager at another wirehouse, client service associate at a wirehouse and a portfolio assistant at an RIA (Registered Investment Advisor). With client service as her background and financial planning as her focus, she is passionate about understanding clients’ needs, fears and goals. She enjoys taking a financial tangle of accounts, income streams and information to streamline that jumble into an easy to understand path in an effort to reach a clients’ objectives and goals.

She is married to Tevis Knight who teaches at Rossville Elementary in Georgia. Laura is the mother of two boys, Nick (12 years old) and Robert (7 years old). On the weekends you can find them at a soccer field, on the Chickamauga Lake or Watts Bar Lake (fishing or swimming). Laura loves a good bargain! She has an eagle eye for getting the best deals. In the past she has served on the boards of the Junior League of Chattanooga and the Northside Neighborhood House. Laura continues to give back to both organizations.

About Susan Simpkins

Susan Simpkins is a Client Service Associate for The Walnut Street Group at Morgan Stanley. She handles the day-to-day operations of the team and assists clients with inbound requests including money movements, account openings and closings, cash management , and general inquiries. It is her prerogative to help ensure a satisfying and enjoyable customer service experience for clients.

Drawing upon her previous experience in global risk and compliance, and extensive 20-year tenure as a school librarian for the Baylor School in Chattanooga, Susan takes great pride in fostering relationships with clients and helping them work through complex questions and situations. She attended the University of Tennessee Chattanooga and studied english, history, and early childhood education.

Beyond the office, Susan loves to spoil her two dogs: Lucy, a 5.5 year old basset hound, and Stella, a 6.5 year old mixed breed hound. She also enjoys gardening, quilting, and cooking for her friends and neighbors.
