Our Team at Morgan Stanley University Towne Center Branch

About Dave Smith

As the Branch Manager for the University Town Center office in San Diego for Morgan Stanley Wealth Management I’ve witnessed significant growth in our business and community. Money is constantly in motion in Silicon Beach—and that creates unique opportunities for our clients. They count on us to deliver a high service model and sophisticated solutions on industry leading platforms that help drive their growth and prosperity.

I’ve been in the financial services industry for more than 20 years and joined Morgan Stanley in 2005. Prior to coming to UTC, I served as the Associate Complex Manager in Dallas/N. Texas and as a senior member of our Capital Markets organization in New York.

On a personal note, I’m originally from Philadelphia where I became an avid sports fan. I earned a B.S. in Finance from Fairfield University and an MBA from Fordham University. I’m an experienced traveler and also enjoy many outdoor activities including golf, hiking and scuba diving. I live in Del Mar with my wife, Katherine, and our two dogs—a Rhodesian Ridgeback and a very active Cavalier King Charles.

6The returns on a portfolio consisting primarily of sustainable investments may be lower or higher than a portfolio that is more diversified or where decisions are based solely on investment considerations. Because sustainability criteria exclude some investments, investors may not be able to take advantage of the same opportunities or market trends as investors that do not use such criteria. Diversification does not guarantee a profit or protect against loss in a declining financial market.
