As Branch Manager of Morgan Stanley’s Tucson office, Steve is fortunate to work with a talented team of advisors, support staff, and leaders who are deeply committed to our clients’ success and well-being. Tucson is a vibrant community with a culturally significant history spanning thousands of years, making it one of the oldest continually inhabited areas in the United States.

In his role, Steve is responsible for recruiting and retaining top talent, building cohesive teams, managing risk, driving revenue growth, and delivering a consistently high level of client service. He leads advisors through business planning, marketing, training and development, and strategic partnering—helping bring the full capabilities of Morgan Stanley to clients.

Steve has more than 20 years of experience in financial services, including over five years at Morgan Stanley. He began his career with American Funds/Capital Group, where he spent 11 years, and later held leadership roles at Merrill Lynch. At Morgan Stanley, he has served as Business Service Officer, Business Development Manager, and most recently as Market Business Service Officer, leading service and business priorities across 10 branches within the Arizona/New Mexico and El Paso market.

Throughout his career, Steve has prioritized genuine care in every interaction and is passionate about giving back to the community. Originally from the Midwest and having lived in Arizona for several years, he is now proud to call Tucson home.

Victor Bruno, Assistant Vice President – Wealth Management, serves as the Risk Officer for the Tucson, Arizona; Albuquerque, New Mexico; and El Paso, Texas branch locations. He is responsible for day-to-day customer account supervision and oversight of Financial Advisor sales practices, including alert reviews, as well as general branch office supervision.

Victor earned a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from the State University of New York at Albany in 2000 and an MBA with a concentration in Finance from the Florida Institute of Technology in 2017. Before entering the finance industry in 2017, he served 21 years in the United States Army as a career Logistics Officer, primarily serving in the Airborne and Special Operations communities.

Outside of work, Victor values time with his family and seeks opportunities to create new memories. He enjoys spending time in the mountains hiking, biking, and camping, and he is committed to giving back to the community while teaching his daughters the importance and rewards of serving others.

Michelle Fleming, First Vice President, serves as Business Service Officer for the Tucson Branch. Michelle has been a part of the Market Service organization since 2013, leading since 2023, and is responsible for shaping the future of service by modernizing our client experience through an elevated standard of care. Together with the team, she executes the Firm’s key strategic initiatives, contributing to a strong market culture, employee development, ensuring a high level of client service, and general oversight of operational processes.

Michelle has been with Morgan Stanley and its predecessor firms since 1983. During this time she has held many roles within the firm including both risk and service/operational management.

Nate Stumberg is our Financial Planning Director, a role where he leverages his expertise to clarify complex financial scenarios for clients, while prioritizing their best interests. He values financial planning for the opportunity it provides to forge enduring relationships and witness the positive outcomes of his guidance over time. Nate is dedicated to helping individuals and families achieve significant milestones, meet their retirement goals, and establish meaningful legacies. He excels in enhancing the financial planning process by combining a thorough analytical approach with a focus on human connection, empathy, and trust.

Nate holds two advanced designations: CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ (CFP^®) and Certified Investment Management Analyst^® (CIMA^®); the former is recognized as the standard for professionals in financial planning, while the latter emphasizes advanced portfolio construction and management. He earned his bachelor's degree in finance from the University of Arizona and began his career in 2020 as a financial advisor with Vanguard before joining Morgan Stanley in 2025.

When Nate is not at work, he cherishes spending time with his fiancée, Lexi, and his dog Auggie. He also enjoys making his way around the golf course, skiing in the winter, and exploring new restaurants.

Larry Parente is an Executive Director with the Family Office Resources (FOR) group at Morgan Stanley. As a Generalist with FOR, he helps simplify the universe of family wealth solutions, so that individuals can make confident and informed decisions about their business, their family, and their future.

As a seasoned wealth management and planning executive, Larry has over 25 years of experience counseling and advising high-net and ultra-high-net-worth, individuals and families.

He spent two years with the law firm of, Brobeck, Phleger & Harrison, LLP.

He earned his J.D. from Golden Gate University School of Law and his B.A. from the University at Albany, where he graduated Phi Beta Kappa, Summa Cum Laude.

Throughout law school, Larry was a personal trainer and amateur triathlete. He stills enjoy exercise & strength training, as well as playing golf & tennis. He lives in Rancho Santa Fe, California with his wife Erin, and twin daughters Mary & Maggie. They also enjoy the company of their miniature Schnauzer, Harrison.

Emily Hernandez is the Vice President and Business Development Manager for Morgan Stanley’s Arizona New Mexico Market. In this capacity, she is committed to providing Financial Advisors with tailored solutions by leveraging the firm’s extensive suite of products, resources, and services. Her primary goal is to enable Financial Advisors to focus on delivering world-class service and leading with exceptional ideas.

Emily's career at Morgan Stanley includes roles as a Platinum Team Manager at E*TRADE from Morgan Stanley and as a Business Development Manager for the Southern New England Market. She began her career as a Financial Advisor with Morgan Stanley Virtual Advisor. Over her 9-year tenure with the firm, Emily has been a strong advocate for fostering an inclusive and forward-thinking work environment. She has actively contributed to the firm’s Women in Wealth Chapters and previously served on the Diversity and Inclusion Council for the New England region. Her dedication to mentorship and leadership development is evident through her ongoing involvement in talent cultivation programs across the firm.

Emily holds an undergraduate degree from DePaul University and graduate degree from DePaul’s Kellstadt Graduate School of Business.

Outside of her professional life, Emily enjoys spending quality time with her husband and their two young sons. She is passionate about outdoor activities and exploring different cultures through food and travel.
