My Story and Services

Tracy Duckworth is a Senior Vice President, Portfolio Management Director, and Financial Advisor. He has over 30 years of experience in finance and has been with Morgan Stanley since 2012.

Tracy is a graduate of Utah State University in 1983 with a degree in Finance and a minor in Economics. While playing football for the Aggies, he was able to graduate in just 3 ½ years and went on to receive his Masters of Business Administration (MBA). He also received the coveted Wayne Estes Memorial Award given annually to a student athlete for outstanding achievement in athletics, the classroom and in the community.

After graduation, he worked on his own for three years and in 1987 entered the financial services industry by accepting a job with Paine Webber. Tracy has held many positions since entering the business from Insurance Coordinator, to Local Manager in Ogden, to Complex Manager of the Utah Complex.

In September 2012, Tracy partnered with former colleague, Amy Leonard. The partnership has broadened the practice’s services and has helped Tracy and Amy to concentrate on their specific talents. With the Ridgeline Group, Tracy’s areas of focus include portfolio management, municipal bonds and option strategies.

Tracy and his wife, Lorie have lived in Holladay their entire married life. They are the parents of 5 children and 11 grandchildren. Tracy loves to travel, enjoys skiing, golf, tennis and spending time with his family. He is actively involved in his church and many other local and community organizations. He believes that giving back to the community is the best way to thank those who have helped him get where he is today.

My Process

As your dedicated wealth management financial advisor, my role is to tailor a personalized financial strategy which fits your unique, individual needs. In my experience working with clients, I have developed an step by step approach to service:

    We begin with an in depth discussion to understand what is important to you, your family and your legacy. I will then ask a host of qualitative and quantitative questions and will request supporting documentation to get a complete picture of your financial situation.

    After review of the information collected, I will prepare a comprehensive financial plan and will include recommendations and key next action steps.

    With your approval, we will begin to implement the plan. This often encompasses a broad range of strategies from investments and lending to retirement and estate planning. I will work with you to establish timelines and checklists, in addition to providing ongoing updates to make sure you are on track with your goals.

    Finally, I will constantly monitor your assets and analyze your investment performance and financial plan seeking to ensure your goals are being met. In order to stay well informed of any changes in your circumstances, I will keep a high level of communication with you and make sure your concerns and requests are always addressed.

About Scott Knudsen

Scott Knudsen is a Senior Private Banker serving Morgan Stanley Wealth Management offices in Colorado, Utah, and Wyoming.

Private Bankers partner with Financial Advisors to develop a specialized approach for managing clients’ cash flow, liquidity and financing needs, leveraging our comprehensive suite of cash management and lending solutions.

Scott began his career in financial services in 2001, and joined Morgan Stanley in 2006 as a High Net Worth Lending Advisor. Prior to joining the firm, he was a Credit Analyst at Merrill Lynch.

Scott is a graduate of the University of Utah, where he received a Bachelor of Science in Finance. He lives in Park City, Utah with his family. Outside of the office, enjoys hiking, mountain biking, skiing and camping.
