Welcome

As a Portfolio Manager with over 20 years of experience, I blend a seasoned perspective from experiencing a wide variety of markets and economic conditions, with a superior alignment of client interests through a comprehensive discovery process supported by a consistent client communication approach. I have worked with successful individuals, families, and organizations since 1998 helping to solve their complex financial needs.

I earned my undergraduate degree in Finance from the University of San Francisco and joined Dean Witter in 1998 just before the merger with Morgan Stanley. I quickly realized how passionate I was about the Global Capital markets and Discretionary Portfolio Management and wanted to take it to the next level. I returned to school to further my education earning my M.B.A. from Santa Clara University with dual concentrations in Finance and International Business.

Today, as a Senior Portfolio Management Director, I act as a fiduciary to my clients. My clients appreciate my personalized approach to designing their investment portfolios as well as my direct accessibility. My portfolio management style focuses on multi-generational planning strategies to help ensure current and future generations are provided for and able to pursue their dreams. I am motivated by researching and investing in new business verticals emerging in the 21st century and my investment mantras are: Uncompromising Integrity, Patient Capital with Disciplined and Opportunistic approach.

My wife manages a consulting team for a cloud-based software company that serves the life science industry. We have two children and we recently moved back to Idaho where I was born. We enjoy skiing, mountain biking, swimming, and the kids are learning to play golf and tennis. I am also part-owner of our family cattle ranch in Montana, where you might find me wearing many hats.

My calm style combined with my listening skills give our clients confidence that they’ve been heard, that I really care about them, and that everything will be okay. This is the way I believe business is supposed to work – the more you engage with clients, the more the relationship grows.

My financial services experience began in the mid-1980s in Bangor, Maine, as a wire operator and later cashier with PaineWebber, after which I became operations manager at a local investment company. In 1992, I joined A.G. Edwards & Sons, where I became a registered sales assistant and continued working there for 13 years. I was hired by a 5-person team at UBS in 2005, and when the team moved to Morgan Stanley in 2009, I transferred with them, ultimately becoming a portfolio associate in 2014.

In 2018, I transferred to the Morgan Stanley branch in Short Hills, New Jersey to be closer to family. Then, when my family relocated to Idaho in 2020, I transferred again, this time to the Morgan Stanley branch in Boise where I now work with Tim Dixon.

My two dogs are my constant companions at home. Buddy is a 12-year-old, black Goldendoodle who’s been with me since he was a puppy. Ruby is a shih tzu/dachshund; I rescued her more recently. My son, daughter-in-law and three grandsons live nearby, and together the family enjoys Sunday night dinners, movies, bowling, and all types of outdoor activities. I am also into crafts, such as woodburning, sketching, watercolor, and I even spin my own yarn for knitting.
