Andy brings extensive experience to his role as a wealth management professional. As the senior advisor and founding partner of The Young Group, he is responsible for shaping the team’s strategic vision. Andy has dedicated his career to providing personalized financial advice to successful individuals, families, business owners and institutions through a disciplined and goals-based process. His collective knowledge in a broad array of financial solutions enables him to help clients achieve their long-term financial goals, while building a diversified investment portfolio.

Andy attended Wofford College, earning his Finance degree. Upon graduation, he explored another career outside of the financial industry, prior to joining Morgan Stanley as a Financial Advisor. A few years after joining Morgan Stanley, he and his father formalized a partnership and established The Young Group. Nora Buscema joined the team in 2001.

An education advocate, Andy is committed to advanced learning for himself and his clients. Throughout his career, he has earned the industry’s most prestigious designations, including Certified Financial PlannerTM (CFP®), Certified Investment Management Analyst® (CIMA®), Chartered Retirement Plans SpecialistSM (CRPS®) and Qualified Plan Financial Consultant (QPFC). He has also earned important certifications at Morgan Stanley, including Executive Director and Corporate Retirement Director.

These credentials demonstrate Andy’s unwavering pledge to a world-class client experience. He draws upon his deep knowledge and skills to provide clients with customized solutions. Andy enjoys working with like-minded clients who value and appreciate the care he and Nora deliver. His goals-based process begins with asking the right questions and actively listening. This information then serves as the foundation for the development of a comprehensive plan and investment portfolio that reflects each client’s goals for the future.

About Nora Buscema

Nora is an experienced Family Wealth Director, Corporate Retirement Director and founding partner of The Young Group at Morgan Stanley. With energy and optimism, she can empower individuals and families who have accumulated a higher level of wealth to help achieve new levels of success. She also works closely with business owners in the ongoing management of their corporate retirement plans. For Nora, professional success is measured in terms of client well-being and goal achievement.

Throughout her 25-year career, Nora has remained committed to professional development. Most recently, she earned the firm’s Family Wealth Director designation. This credential – earned by less than 5% of the firm’s advisors as of September 2020 – builds off of her extensive experience working with ultra-high net worth families. Nora and her team are now able to provide affluent families with access to a variety of family advisory services that can address the multigenerational challenges of managing significant wealth. These include family governance and wealth education, philanthropy management and lifestyle advisory programs. Other industry credentials Nora has earned include Certified Financial Planner™ (CFP®), Certified Investment Management Analyst® (CIMA®), and Chartered Retirement Plans Specialist® (CRPS®).

Nora graduated from East Tennessee State University with a B.B.A. degree in Finance. She began her career at GMAC before joining Morgan Stanley in 2000. Her mentor was Jim Young, a highly regarded advisor with over 35 years of industry experience. Jim’s son, Andy, was also at the onset of his advisory career. Growing up in the business together and studying under the same mentor made it a natural decision to form a partnership. Today, Nora enjoys working with a broad array of clients – from families to business owners to nonprofit organizations – to help them achieve their goals and simplify their finances.

Nora’s desire to help others is equaled only by her dedication to her community and her family. Over the years, she has been involved with many local organizations. She is a former Board member of the Men’s Shelter of Charlotte, a past Chairperson of the United Way of Central Carolinas Crisis and Shelter Community Investment Council, and a former member of the United Way of Central Carolinas Mecklenburg Community Investment Council. Outside of the office, she enjoys running, hanging out at the beach and travelling. Her life centers on a love for her family. She and her husband, Mike, find their most valued assets are their three children. They love going on adventures and introducing them to new activities they can do as a family.
