About Us

The Yale Group at Morgan Stanley is a wealth management practice focused on helping their clients preserve and grow their wealth, live meaningful lives, and plan for the future. Four attributes we think are the most important:

• Our focus on comprehensive planning
• The knowledge and investment experience of our team
• Our standard of personalized, concierge-level client service
• The vast resources and capabilities of Morgan Stanley.

We take a consultative approach with our clients by first getting to know who they are and what their goals are. Once this has been established, we tailor solutions for our clients by working with their tax & legal advisors and advising on a full suite of investment products such as: fixed income, equities, alternatives, annuities, insurance and cash equivalents.

In addition to investment advice, we provide access to Morgan Stanley’s lending & cash management solutions. Beyond the specific investment advice we give, we provide another set of objective ears for our clients when they are making major life decisions that involve changes in their financial picture. In these instances, we help our clients think of the relevant questions they should ask themselves, provide guidance, and execute on any financial decisions we make collaboratively. We help you navigate your finances, so you can live the life you want.

What is the Certified Private Wealth Advisor® (CPWA®) designation?
High-net-worth individuals have unique needs that can’t be properly addressed by an advisor with a basic financial planning background. The Certified Private Wealth Advisor® (CPWA®) certification program is an advanced credential created specifically for wealth managers working with high-net-worth clients.

    · A holistic, multidisciplinary approach to the interconnected challenges and opportunities that significant wealth brings.
    · Deep dives into critical areas of wealth planning and preservation, including sophisticated tax management and wealth transfer tools, as well as legacy planning and family dynamics.

With the CPWA® designation, advisors and wealth managers deliver the advanced knowledge, tools and skills needed to meet - and exceed - the complex needs of U/HNW families.

What is the Certified Investment Management Analyst® (CIMA®) designation?
CIMA® certification teaches professionals how to integrate a complex body of investment knowledge, ethically contributing to prudent investment decisions by providing objective advice and guidance to individual and institutional investors. While this credential doesn’t offer analysts any legally binding benefits, it is essentially a mark of achievement and skill. It is offered only to financial analysts who:

    · Have at least three years of experience.
    · Have no record of ethical misconduct.
    · Take the qualifying course at Yale, the University of Pennsylvania or the University of Chicago.
    · Take and pass the examinations offered by the Investments and Wealth Institute.
    · Maintain their certification through at least 40 hours of continuing education per two-year period.

What is the Accredited Investment Fiduciary® (AIF®) designation?
Accredited Investment Fiduciary® (AIF®) Designees can demonstrate that they have met educational, competence, conduct and ethical standards to carry out a fiduciary standard of care and serve the best interests of their clients.
The purpose of the AIF® Designation is to assure that those responsible for managing or advising on investor assets have a fundamental understanding of the principles of fiduciary duty, the standards of conduct for acting as a fiduciary, and a process for carrying out fiduciary responsibility.

The fiduciary duty is the highest standard of care in the financial industry. It means you have the power and responsibility to act for someone else in situations requiring total trust, good faith and honesty.

Morgan Stanley Wealth Management Financial Advisers can conduct their business in several ways: individually, as a member of a team of Financial Advisors, or through the formation of a Strategic Partnership with another Financial Advisor or team of Financial Advisors. A Strategic Partnership is an arrangement between a Financial Advisor or a team of Financial Advisors with another Financial Advisor or team of Financial Advisors that has a unique focus or knowledge regarding a specific business concentration, product area, and/or client type. If your account is with an individual Financial Advisor, that Financial Advisor services all facets of your account. If your account is with a Financial Advisor who is a member of a team, any Financial Advisor on the team can service your account. If your Financial Advisor is part of a Strategic Partnership, his or her role in that Strategic Partnership may be limited to a specific business and/or product area and may not cover all facets of your account. The use of the terms “Partner” or “Strategic Partner” and/or “Partnership” or “Strategic Partnership” are used as terms of art and not used to imply or connote any legal relationship.
