About Scott E. O'Dell

As a founding member of The Wellington Group at Morgan Stanley, I will work diligently to pull together the experience of the team, and the world class resources Of Morgan Stanley to help you achieve your goals for today, and your milestones for tomorrow.

Having helped guide clients through various economic cycles for over 20 years, I focus on working with high net worth investors.  I work diligently in the design, implementation, and pro-active management of high quality blue chip individual stock portfolios, concentrated stock positions, and professional money management.

As the team’s Fixed Income professional, I proactively build individual tax free municipal and corporate bond ladders. Seeking to mitigate risk, we individually select and control the maturity, credit quality, and revenue source of each individual bond in your portfolio.

Formerly in my career, I was an A.G .Edwards veteran advisor and a US Merchant Marine Lieutenant out of Ft. Schuyler, Bronx N.Y.

As a founder of The Wellington Group, I can assure you our client first philosophy enables us to focus on your unique needs, to help you create a legacy that will guide you positively into the future, and for generations to come.

As the ship captains of old would say… You can’t predict the weather. But you can build a ship strong enough to carry you safely through the storms, and bring you comfortably into port.  That philosophy still holds true today in both sailing and navigating the markets.

As our motto says:

“ You manage your life, we’ll manage your finances.”

About Jennifer A. O'Dell

As a founding member of The Wellington Group at Morgan Stanley, I help our clients tailor proactive financial strategies that are designed to comfortably and confidently carry them through any economic cycle and life transition.

As the team’s Insurance Planning Director, I serve as the team's primary resource to help customize solutions which may be used to help enhance and protect retirement cash flows, long-term care funding, charitable giving, and legacy planning. In my role, I strive to make sure that any insurance policies in place will help the client meet their objectives without any surprises down the road. I work with my team to make sure that any insurance strategies serve to compliment other assets and the client’s long-term objectives in accordance with the client’s financial plan. Sometimes this involves educating clients about their options and implementing solutions. Often, simply reviewing existing plans to make sure they will actually meet the client’s expectations is part of the financial planning process that I assist with.

I achieved a professional designation in the field of long-term care, Certified in Long-Term Care Specialist (CLTC) because I have had extensive personal experience with elderly family members who have needed care, and the importance of planning ahead for this phase of life has become very near and dear to me. Throughout my career, I have seen what a significant difference it can make not only for our clients, but for their families. I am so proud to be a part of providing that solution and peace of mind.

As a Certified Exit Planning Director (CEPA), I focus on helping a business owner drive value within their business and then eventually, capitalize on that increased value as they think about their next chapter. A business owner’s greatest asset is typically the business itself. It is critical for a business owner to maximize and harvest that wealth. A business owner’s business and personal finances are tightly intertwined, so I strive to add value to both by introducing concepts to reduce risk and increase value long before the business owner has likely even thought about exiting or transitioning the business in any way.

Our team’s holistic approach ensures that clients receive comprehensive advice tailored to their unique financial goals and life circumstances. Our success is driven by our client-centric philosophy, focusing on long-term relationships and trust. I love working with our clients and their families to give them the highest level of confidence in their financial plans year over year, with a blend of expertise, integrity and personalized solutions.

6Investing in the market entails the risk of market volatility. The value of all types of investments may increase or decrease over varying time periods. The returns on a portfolio consisting primarily of sustainable or impact investments may be lower or higher than a portfolio that is more diversified or where decisions are based solely on investment considerations. Because sustainability and impact criteria exclude some investments, investors may not be able to take advantage of the same opportunities or market trends as investors that do not use such criteria. Diversification does not guarantee a profit or protect against loss in a declining financial market.

7Alternative Investments are speculative and include a high degree of risk. An investor could lose all or a substantial amount of his/her investment. Alternative investments are appropriate only for qualified, long-term investors who are willing to forgo liquidity and put capital at risk for an indefinite period of time.

8Municipal bonds may not be appropriate for all investors. Income generated from an investment in a municipal bond is generally exempt from federal income taxes.
