Our Story and Services

The Wellesley Compass Group has over 155 years of combined experience in wealth management. We draw on our unique insight and perspective to guide our clients through all types of market conditions that only 3 decades of experience can bring.

We have found that obtaining a thorough understanding of each client’s financial position and creating a comprehensive, individualized plan is the most effective way of helping our clients reach their goals. Our collaborative planning process seeks to ensure your assets are aligned with your vision. To derive a complete picture of your situation, we take the time to learn about your finances, family, values, and objectives. Our aim is to have a blueprint in place that will inspire confidence.

We have dedicated our careers to developing a thoughtful, disciplined investment process that has withstood the test of time. The cornerstone to our investment process is “managing risk” with a priority of protection of wealth during the most challenging markets.

The group takes pride in having worked with clients for decades including families whom we have served for multiple generations. Our effort to truly care about our clients’ well-being has led to long-term, trusting relationships.

One of our highest priorities is to provide you with a service experience that exceeds expectations. Your portfolio will be attentively monitored, and meetings will be scheduled to appraise goals and evaluate financial conditions. Our team is accessible and all questions are welcomed.

The Client Experience

Tab Image
Before our team offers specific advice, we must understand who you are and what you want your wealth to accomplish. Working with you, we will complete a three-step process.
Develop a Customized Financial Plan
Morgan Stanley’s LifeView® Goal Analysis allows us to analyze your goals and help you:

i. Define and plan for your goals such as retirement, funding children’s education or purchasing a second home
ii. Build the appropriate asset allocation for reaching your goals
iii. Test different goal planning solutions and asset allocation strategies using probability simulations and stress testing
iv. Through this interactive process we aim to provide you with a comfort level that comes with having a blueprint for a confident and comfortable retirement

Asset Allocation does not assure a profit or protect against loss in declining financial markets.
Implement your personalized investment strategy
Based on the asset allocation defined in your financial plan, we will work with you to bring the elements to life through the following options:

i. While there are a few exceptions, you can hold just about any investment within a Morgan Stanley brokerage account. Some familiar investment products include stocks, bonds, US Treasuries, CDs, mutual funds, exchange traded funds and annuities
ii. Your investment strategy can be implemented within one of two platforms; Advisor-directed through our Portfolio Management Program or Self-directed

The investments listed may not be appropriate for all investors. Morgan Stanley Smith Barney LLC recommends that investors independently evaluate particular investments, and encourages investors to seek the advice of a financial advisor. The appropriateness of a particular investment will depend upon an investor's individual circumstances and objectives.
Review and Monitor Progress
Consistent communication is a priority for us as we strive to be a source of comfort for our clients in all aspects of their lives.

i. Based on your personal preference, we will conduct review meetings on either a quarterly, semi-annual or annual basis
ii. Your financial plan will also be reviewed and updated annually to confirm your goals are still within reach and to reflect any life changes that may have occurred
iii. We are personally available to address any questions or concerns that may arise in the interim
iv. In addition, statements will be sent out monthly and accounts can be viewed online or through your mobile device in real-time

A Portfolio Constructed To Fit You

The Portfolio Management Program is a model based investment philosophy.

We believe in model based investment management founded on the principles of diversification and risk management. Our models are consistently monitored, rebalanced and adjusted when necessary, leveraging research put forth by Morgan Stanley.

We manage approximately 10 different investment models that accommodate a range of financial objectives and risk tolerances. During the strategy development phase, while your financial plan is run, we will determine which model or models best suit your needs.

We manage our models with a focus on maximizing risk-adjusted return. Our goal is to help ensure you can accomplish your goals, enabling you to concentrate on other aspects of life that are important to you.

Previous to that, I received my Bachelor of Arts degree from Boston University and pursued graduate classes in both business and art. Within the industry, I have had the pleasure of lecturing to peers about the importance of mentoring and about financial matters surrounding divorce, retirement, and legacy planning. 5Investors should consider many factors before deciding which 529 plan is appropriate. Some of these factors include: the Plan’s investment options and the historical investment performance of these options, the Plan’s flexibility and features, the reputation and expertise of the Plan’s investment manager, Plan contribution limits and the federal and state tax benefits associated with an investment in the Plan. Some states, for example, offer favorable tax treatment and other benefits to their residents only if they invest in the state’s own Qualified Tuition Program. Investors should determine their home state’s tax treatment of 529 plans when considering whether to choose an in-state or out-of-state plan. Investors should consult with their tax or legal advisor before investing in any 529 Plan or contact their state tax division for more information. Morgan Stanley Smith Barney LLC does not provide tax and/or legal advice. Investors should review a Program Disclosure Statement, which contains more information on investment options, risk factors, fees and expenses and possible tax consequences.
