Our Story and Services

We know our clients and their families.  It is what we do best.  For us, wealth planning means more than providing our clients with investment advice. It means helping them maintain the financial independence they've worked their whole lives to achieve, and planning for future generations. It means striving to ensure they have the means to pursue what's most important to them and their families.  And it means understanding them as people with unique goals, values and circumstances that determine the strategies we develop on their behalf.

Our consultative process begins with an in-depth discussion of your current finances and future objectives. We want to understand you and your goals for your family.  We'll address issues you might have overlooked that can have a significant impact on your ability to retire as planned. Finally, we'll determine how we can help you adjust your investment strategy as necessary to accommodate changing conditions during retirement, and ultimately assist with your legacy planning.

About Luis Alfonso

Luis Alfonso has been a Financial Advisor with Morgan Stanley since 2013. He takes a collaborative approach to Wealth Management, focused on listening and understanding clients to help them achieve their financial goals. With a background in Education, he takes great care to ensure clients are empowered to make informed choices and understand their full financial picture.

Luis graduated from the Walsh School of Foreign Service at Georgetown University. After spending some time working overseas and at the Smithsonian, he joined the financial industry at what would become HSBC’s Embassy Banking Group. He worked with diplomats and embassies, helping new arrivals with their transitions into Washington DC. This gave him an outsider’s perspective into the often baffling complexity of the US Financial System, while guiding clients in these complicated life changes.

Working in the DC Area, with its complex ecosystem of Government, Non-profit, and Higher Educational Institutions, has given Luis experience with a very diverse group of individuals navigating life transitions. Leveraging the vast resources at Morgan Stanley, as well as the deep expertise of other members of the Veridical Group, Luis helps to guide clients through important life changes. These include starting a new job, starting or growing an existing business, planning for retirement, navigating offers of buyouts at work, inheritances, and divorces.

Luis lives in DC with his kids Victor and Sofia. Luis likes to spend his spare time exploring everything DC has to offer, as well as spending time with his parents and sister’s family, which all finally settled in the DC area, giving up their globetrotting ways that had them all living in separate countries for 10+ years.
