Our consultative process begins with an in-depth discussion of your current finances and future objectives. We want to understand you and your goals for your family.  We'll address issues you might have overlooked that can have a significant impact on your ability to retire as planned. Finally, we'll determine how we can help you adjust your investment strategy as necessary to accommodate changing conditions during retirement, and ultimately assist with your legacy planning.

Working With You

Our process begins by conducting a detailed profile and creating an individual comprehensive financial plan.  This helps us to fully understand your needs and  to structure accounts as well as investment recommendations.  We cover all aspects of your financial life including life insurance analysis, beneficiary designations, education planning, and estate planing strategies.  We'll work with your accountant and other advisors to make sure that we are providing relevant tax information and coordinating your overall planning.  This includes year end analysis of income to help you determine if charitable gifting will be advantageous.  We stand by our pledge to always be available to discuss any financial concerns you may have.

    Meet The Veridical Group

    About Me

    Susan Graham Harrington is a Senior Vice President, Corporate Retirement Director, and Financial Advisor with Morgan Stanley.  Susan joined Legg Mason in 1997, becoming part of the office that her father, Charles Graham, founded in 1977.  Charlie retired in 2013 and Susan now heads The Veridical Group at Morgan Stanley.   Susan focuses on multi-generational family wealth planning and developing comprehensive retirement and estate planning strategies for individuals and families.  Her goal is to continue the legacy of individual, personalized service for each and every client. 

    Susan graduated from North Carolina State University in 1991 with a Bachelor of Arts in Business Management and then in 1995 obtained dual Master’s Degrees in Finance and Management from Webster University.   After service in the US Navy flight program, Susan spent time as an equity analyst in New York before beginning her long term career with the companies that became Morgan Stanley.

    In 2017, Susan was named to Working Mother magazine's inaugural list of Top 200 Wealth Advisor Moms.  With over 20 years of experience in wealth management, Susan understands the complexity of family dynamics and the importance of having a plan in place in order to achieve long-term individual and family goals.  As a Financial Planning specialist, Susan offers her clients a detailed level of personal attention and tailors her strategies to the specialized concerns of high net worth families.  Susan has been repeatedly named to the Morgan Stanley’s prestigious Master’s Club, an elite group composed of the firm's top Financial Advisors. The appointment recognizes her excellence in providing wealth advisory services to her clients.

    Susan is a native of Montgomery County, MD and is often found on the local fields supporting the athletic endeavors of one of her kids.  She and her husband Greg are raising six children, and are both actively involved in the wide variety of accompanying extracurricular activities, especially Scouting.  Susan is currently serving as an Advisor on the School of Business Advisory Board for the Norfolk State University School of Business.  Susan is also a member of Sigma Kappa sorority.

    About Me

    Maritza Hernandez is a Financial Advisor with The Veridical Group at Morgan Stanley.  As one of three advisors on the team, her primary focus is financial planning and relationship management.  Maritza enjoys the challenging and ever-changing environment and the long-lasting relationships that we build with our clients.   

    After obtaining a Bachelor of Arts at Allegheny College, Maritza joined PNC Bank as a Development Associate in the Retail Banking division.  From there, she transitioned to the Branch Management team in the Central PA region.  Looking for an opportunity for further growth, she decided to move to Maryland in 2015 and joined Morgan Stanley as a Registered Associate.  Maritza’s role entailed assisting in all aspects of client servicing.  In 2016, she transitioned into a Financial Advisor role. 

    Maritza lives in Rockville, Maryland with her beloved dog Forrest.  She is passionate about giving back to the community as a member of Rotary International, Delta Delta Delta Sorority, and actively participates in other community events.  In her spare time she enjoys running, traveling and spending time with family and friends.  As a native of Puerto Rico, she is fluent in Spanish.

    About Me

    Christina Holland joined the Veridical Group in 2016.  She brings over 13 years of industry experience and knowledge to the team.  Christina is highly organized and provides superior client service as well as administrative and operational functions for the team.  Christina handles money movements, executing trade requests, scheduling, setting up new accounts and any other general client inquiries.  Christina is everyone’s first point of contact and she enjoys building the relationships she shares with our clients.

    Christina joined Legg Mason in 2004, which has since merged into Morgan Stanley, and holds Series 7 and 66 securities licenses. Christina graduated from Fleet Business School in 2001.

    Outside of the office, Christina is an accomplished Pianist and often unwinds her day by practicing piano and playing for others.  She is passionate about volunteering in the community and spending time with her husband, Roy, and their loveable Pitbull Athena.
