About Brett Cavalieri
Brett Cavalieri is an Executive Director, Financial Advisor and leader of the TriPoint Group at Morgan Stanley, focusing on advice to high net worth clients. He has over 30 years of experience in the wealth management industry, delivering personalized financial planning and tax efficient investment management. Brett is a Certified Private Wealth Advisor practitioner, an advanced professional designation for financial advisors focusing on High Net Worth clients with over $5 million in assets. He is also a member of an elite group of Financial Advisors (about 6%) who have earned the Family Wealth Director designation within Morgan Stanley as of June 2025. It is given to those who have extensive experience working with high net worth families, and who have undergone dedicated training. Family Wealth Directors have direct access to an extensive range of resources needed to help highly affluent families manage the complex, multigenerational challenges of managing significant wealth. Brett’s clients include executives in the financial, legal, medical, and pharmaceutical industries, as well as multi-generational families and small business owners. Brett is also responsible for managing the Madison, CT, office of Morgan Stanley.
After earning his degree in Economics at the University of Connecticut. Upon graduation, Brett joined Dean Witter, launching a successful career that would later take him to Charles Schwab. His extensive experience with High Net Worth clientele started at U.S. Trust before joining Morgan Stanley in 2007.
Throughout his career, Brett has remained committed to professional development, earning his CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ (CFP®) designation in 1998 and participating in the Executive Education program at the Stanford University Graduate School of Business in 2006. Brett has also received a number of important certifications at Morgan Stanley, including Financial Planning Specialist, Executive Financial Services Director and Senior Portfolio Management Director. These credentials demonstrate Brett’s ongoing commitment to delivering a world-class client experience.
Brett formerly served on the Professional Advisory Committee to the Hartford Foundation for Public Giving, as a Board Member of the Estate & Business Planning Council of Hartford and the Connecticut Chapter of the Association for Corporate Growth. He has volunteered time with Habitat for Humanity and many seasons as a volunteer coach.
Outside of the office he enjoys golf, gardening, and home improvement projects, but his true passion is coaching basketball.
