CFP® Advantage

CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ practitioners are qualified to help individuals pull all their finances together, solve financial problems, and make a plan to help achieve their financial goals. This certification requires an extensive curriculum of training, a comprehensive exam, hours of industry experience and strict adherence to ethical standards.
The Triad Group at Morgan Stanley has two CFP® certified advisors supporting the clients of their practice, Tracey Binkley and Mark Jacobs.
Together and with the support of their team they utilize the board recommended steps in the financial planning process.
Most people think all financial planners are “certified,” but this isn’t true. Just about anyone can use the title “financial planner.” Only those who have fulfilled CFP Board's rigorous requirements can call themselves CFP® practitioners.
CFP® practitioners are held to strict ethical standards to help ensure financial planning recommendations are in your best interest. What’s more, CFP® practitioners must acquire several years of experience related to delivering financial planning services to clients and pass the comprehensive CFP® Certification Exam before they can call themselves CFP® practitioners.
Financial planning is a dynamic process. Your financial goals may evolve over the years due to shifts in your lifestyle or circumstances such as an inheritance, career change, marriage, house purchase or a growing family. As you begin to consider how best to manage your financial future, you should feel confident knowing that with CFP® practitioners, you are working with someone committed to providing the highest level of financial planning.

About Mark T. Jacobs
You may have seen or heard me as a former guest and frequent contributor on the Fox 17 television show Tennessee Mornings and Grand Ole Opry radio station 650 WSM, discussing a broad array of financial matters.
With nearly 30 years of experience in wealth management, I focus on helping individuals, families, and businesses navigate and prioritize the complexities of financial planning with confidence and clarity. As a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional, my mission is to provide comprehensive, tailored strategies that align with your unique goals – whether you will be preparing for retirement, striving to manage your tax management strategy, seeking to secure your legacy through estate planning strategies, or working through stock compensation options such as restricted stock units, performance stock units, employee stock purchase plans, incentive or non-qualified stock options. My team and I have also been fortunate to serve those going through major life events such as approaching retirement, the sale of a business, inheritance of money, liquidity events, or even someone who may have recently found themselves a widow or widower from the loss of a loved one.
Backed by the resources of Morgan Stanley, I work closely with clients to develop personalized strategies for retirement income planning, 401(k) rollovers, alternative investments, cash management and lending solutions, trust services, and for qualified investors, access to the Morgan Stanley's private markets platform featuring private equity, private credit, private infrastructure, non-public real estate transactions, and hedge funds. I focus on integrating strategic investment approaches with risk management and tax management strategies, designed to help seek growth and preservation of your hard-earned wealth over time.
Financial independence isn’t just about numbers – it’s about creating a life you are excited to live. Whether you have recently found yourself new to the world of managing your financial resources or you are an experienced investor who may have outgrown your current relationship, platform, or ability to manage your ever-growing complex needs, let’s work together to create your financial roadmap that seeks to empower you to pursue your passions with purpose.
