My Story and Services

Joel is a First Vice President, Portfolio Management Director, and Financial Advisor with Trinity River Wealth Advisors at Morgan Stanley. He holds both a Master of Business Administration and Master of Science in Finance from Northeastern University in Boston.

As the co-founder of Trinity River Wealth Advisors at Morgan Stanley and it’s overarching strategic vision, Joel’s expertise is in Portfolio construction as he personally creates and actively manages a full portfolio or custom strategies providing our clients with bespoke investment solutions tailored to their individual needs. Using alternative investments as a compliment to investment portfolios, clients receive a boutique investment experience: white glove service and personalized investment attention.

Additionally, with his specialization in 401k plans, he helps business owners and plan sponsors be more cost effective and compliant. He seeks to help reduce the administrative burden that comes with managing a plan, while satisfying fiduciary obligations.

Joel is a native of Amarillo, Texas and originally began his career in the financial services industry after interning with MetLife and AIG while in college. Joel completed his undergraduate studies at West Texas A&M University. Joel has been with Morgan Stanley since 2011 and brings years of experience both as an entrepreneur and advisor.

Joel currently resides in Fort Worth with his wife, Janet, and together they have five children. In his free time, Joel is an avid runner participating in both competitive running and Ironman competitions. Additionally, as a classically trained musician, he is active in serving at his local church through music. When he is not reading market research, he enjoys reading historical novels, traveling, and spending time with his wife and kids.

About Randy Payne

Randy Payne is a Senior Private Banker serving Morgan Stanley Wealth Management offices in the Dallas/Fort Worth Market.

Private Bankers partner with Financial Advisors to develop a specialized approach for managing clients’ cash flow, liquidity and financing needs, leveraging our comprehensive suite of cash management and lending solutions.

Randy began his career in financial services in 1993, and joined Morgan Stanley in 2014 as a Private Banker. Prior to joining the firm, he was a Divisional Sales Director at Wells Fargo Advisors.

Randy is a graduate of Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, where he received a Bachelor of Science in Management. He lives in Northlake, Texas with his family. Outside of the office, Randy enjoys spending time in Oxford, MS with his family cheering on Ole Miss football and baseball teams.
